The fan is a good value for the money. The instructions were easy to follow.

  2. DARBarbara

Look beautiful, contemporary and used 10″ bar.

  3. Raghu Rajan

I am really happy with this fan, it looks classy and smart with the remote control that helps increase/decrease the light brightness, set timer and also control the speed of the fan. The fan came nicely packed and the instructions to assemble were included and were easy to follow. There is also an installation video included on this listing which you can refer as well. It’s really light weighted and the blades are nicely designed. It comes with all necessary attachments to complete your installation. I really love it and makes my room look really nice. I will recommend this to all.

  4. Michael White

Beautiful fan very quiet good air movement and light color is perfect. Very light weight making install easier. The instructions are wrong. Just logic it out by using video. Much easier. Installing is easy once you skip written instructions. The instructions are Chinese revenge.

The best part about this ceiling fan is the remote that will turn the fan counter and clockwise, no more 12 ft ladder!

Over the years I have installed many ceiling fans. They are always a pain due to tight spots once hanging and parts you missed requiring disassembly/reassembly. As far as reviews having issues with install instructions. They all have some kind of issue. Expect that in any DIY.This fan is well designed from the wide hanger fixture that has room to keep the remote RX high and dry, to the plastic ceiling top cover that facilitates communication with the remote that a metal cover might hamper, to seals on both top motor covers to keep moisture out of the motor, to the completely plastic, incorporated, blade/mounting system for easy of assembly and to avoid corrosion down the road The DC motor housing is small and completely encased. My last fan (much more expensive) only lasted a year and had none of those things. The wiring to the remote RX has many wires but again they made it easy. The wire colors from the fan match the wire colors on the remote and they added labels to each wire for those that might be color challenged or question the wiring. Also, they made a place for the remote high the the hanger and the wires to the RX unplug to make inserting into the hanger much easier after the wires are connected. AAA+++ to the design team! The fan beeps once when RX receives a command from the remote TX. Some reviews complained about this. Our last expensive fan was slow to respond to the TX so we’d end up pushing buttons several times, all the time. The beep feedback let the user know the RX successfully got the command. We like this, even if the beep might be annoying sometimes. The DC fan motor is quite. No sound. The blades incorporate the motor mounting assembly so no metal brackets to assemble or tarnished in a year. The twisted blade design moves air well. The fan has been running a couple of day and overall we are very please. Our last expensive fan only lasted a year and was replaced with the same model that also lasted a year. Will see how long this does but all indications are this has a good chance of outlasting them based on design alone. If it doesn’t, it was only half the price. We would recommend this fan.A note about the installed fan photo. Yes, I painted the housing so you won’t find that color anywhere. For those that notice the wire hanging from the ceiling cover, it’s the RX antenna wire. I put a small hole in the bottom of the plastic cover to separate the antenna from all metal wiring, overhead structure, etc. Probably didn’t have to with the plastic cover but I didn’t want to mess with it after in case of a TX/RX issue when it was easy to do on the initial install. Enjoy this fan. We are.

Purchased these due to living in high humidity region. Love that the blades are plastic.

I’m honestly not sure why this YOUKAIN fan has negative reviews. I’ve bought and installed dozens of ceiling fans over the years for my various homes, rentals and family members. I’ve spent as much as $600 on some but have never gone with the budget models under a hundred bucks. My priorities for a fan is it must move as much air as possible as quietly as possible with as little draft as possible. It is also mandatory that it be reversible. My new home (which isn’t brand new) came with basic contractor grade fans in every room, which is great because all of the mounts and wiring are already in place. But the fans were ugly and noisy and used pull chains for the light and fan speed. And they were white, which only works for me on a few very unique decorator styles. I actually don’t like built-in lights but newer fans have them so well integrated as part if the design lately I’m choosing fans with them for the practicality of being able to light up the entire room.Fans are subject to the laws of physics – the larger the blades and the faster they turn the more air they will move. But physics is a tricky thing. I have one fan with aerodynamic blades that moves more air when barely turning than some fans on full speed. With a ceiling fan the blades are everything when it comes to efficiency. This one only has three blades but they are lightweight plastic and aerodynamically shaped so they move a lot of air almost totally silently. Plastic blades are not a bad thing, if they are made right they can be far more efficient than thin flat wood ones. Their lightness puts less of a load on the motor as well.I like this model for other reasons too – it is packed with features for the price, like a five speed remote control, a remotely dimmable light, a timer and an easily accessible reverse switch (on the remote).I’ve sometimes heard concerns from some who are less technologically inclined about remote control fans that if they lose the controller they won’t be able to operate the fan. Not true. Almost every ceiling fan is pre-wired to be used with a multi-speed wall switch and light dimmer. The remote is a small add-on accessory that stuffs into the cowling that connects to those wires. If you want to install the fan without the remote or convert it later simply remove the accessory adapter and you have a non-remote fan. Besides that, replacement controllers are available at all major hardware stores.I am pleased with the quality and value for the price. I would certainly choose this over a name brand. I think they are about as good as Hunter fans but not in the same league as Casablanca, which of course are much more expensive.Installation when replacing an existing unit is an easy 30 minute job, everything you need for a ceiling hugger, short hanging rod or sloped ceiling is included and if you prefer a longer rod, no need to worry as that is also included. If you are looking for a fan that can move large volumes of air this certainly is it, on high speed it is a turbo wind tunnel. And if you are looking for a fan that is totally silent while you sleep yet circulates air efficiently without a draft this is also it, at slow speed I can’t hear it at all right over my bed and there is zero draft yet keeps me refreshingly cool. This model ticks all of the boxes and is surprisingly affordable. I recommend it.

I just finished my covered deck and wanted a ceiling fan to give it a little more air flow out there. I am so happy with this one too. It blends in perfectly with the wood I used and has a great source of air flow, cooling it down even more on hot days. It is super well made, easy to assemble and install and comes with clear instructions for beginners. It would also look great in the living room or a bedroom and has a great farmhouse rustic appeal to it. Also comes with a remote that allows you to control the speed, the light or turn on and off. Super quiet too. Highly Recommend.
