    In my opinion buying just the tool bar instead of the complete tool is the way to go. I whipped up a 13 1/2 ” handle out of beautiful figured walnut and just couldn’t be any happier with the results. I have spent over $200 for a complete full size rougher and like the feel of the one I just made so much better! Besides being a much cheaper option, If you have the time, it is defiantly the way to go. Thanks again so much for a great product.-Ian

    The carbide cutter works extremely well. I made a 14 inch long oak handle and used a 3/4″ copper plumbing cap as the ferrule and was up and turning.

    Cuts fast. Not my choice for finishing cuts, but roughing in and bringing the piece nearly to finish, this is great.Have been using it for some bowl work too. I slightly reprofiled under the cutter to do some tight hollowing, works great.Used it to make its own handle from some pretty rough cut walnut.
