I love my new doorknobs. I was afraid they might be smaller than a regular door knob but they are standard size. Besides loving the beauty of these knobs they were so easy to install! You really cant put them in wrong! I’m a 79 year old woman and I put them in the door easy peazy. If I can do it anyone can. Plus exceptional quality. I would certainly buy them again. In fact now I want them on all my doors.

We have a 1904 home, we have been doing renovations bit by bit … our plan will be to purchase more of thee for the rest of our doors. This knob is gorgeous!there are a variety of backplate styles of this knob, I liked the combo of the octagon glass with the round backplate, they suit each other very nicely.Easy to install, and wonderful to use.

Speaking as a lock expert with 20 years’ experience in the industry, I can say with authority that Schlage’s FC21 is an awesome product. It installs quickly and easily, is extremely rugged for a residential lock, and has beautiful design and finish options. My wife fell in love with the glass knobs and aged bronze finish. Now we have replaced every interior lock in our house, and they look fantastic. We are extremely satisfied, and you will be too.

We have a 1926 house but some of the original glass doorknobs had been replaced with cheap-o knobs many years ago. We wanted to make the house look more uniform, and these doorknobs are perfect. They feel really sturdy and high quality. It’s very, very satisfying just turning the knob and feeling it spring back to center over and over. The operation is really very smooth. The knobs come with a little tool so you can pop open the lock if a child locks the door by accident, for example. We keep this little gizmo (looks like a specially shaped paperclip) outside the doors, nearby, just in case. And we’ve had to use already! It’s a nice touch to include the “unlock from the outside” tool.If you have an old house be prepared that you might have to re-size the doorknob hole and also the latch area to retro fit these. We had to do that on 2 of the 3 doors but in all fairness the doors were an unusual size. The knobs come with the proper latch plate and you should definitely install this on the doorframe. The knobs work best with these. To retro fit the old doors we just used a file, sandpaper, and some elbow grease.Once installed, these are so handsome. They really dress up the rooms we put these in and they keep to the vintage look of our house! There is a very subtle but visible starburst pattern inside the glass right in the middle that I didn’t notice when I initially purchased these. It’s a really elegant touch that makes these knobs look so lovely. FYI, we saw these originally in a big box store and they were noted as “online only” so we were delighted to find them on Amazon. These really are lovely, solid, and elegant. We are delighted with them!

Love this Alexandria line from Schlage! I was afraid the satin brass finish would be too flashy for me. It wasn’t. The coloring was a nice contrast to our door. I knew I wanted a coloring within the gold family but not too flashy for me. I took several pictures to show how beautiful the coloring and craftsmanship was.

Alexandria, Alden satin nickel:Love this door knob. Very substantial, heavy and good quality. Will be ordering more. Replaced old door knob on 35 yr old core door. Really love the transformation. It’s a really lovely door knob.Due to shape of hardware, I reused my old hardware on the door casing and didn’t use plate on side of door as my door wouldn’t shut with it attached; used the round casing around latch only. The instructions were easy to follow, very comprehensive. Since this was closet door I didn’t use the privacy pin.

Honest review by mom of three kids.Received before the delivery date, packaged discretely, and I was able to wrap and put under the tree for my daughter for Christmas. Her door knob was busted and she wanted a new one. This was her big Christmas present for a 10 year old girl, and she loved it. Husband put on her door with no problems, the instructions were clear. The door knob feels like quality every time I open her door. I’m thinking we need a glass door knob now! The knob is sturdy, beautiful, and I would buy again.

I got the Collins style in the dark color, and it’s gorgeous. We’re changing out all our doorknobs for this style now. It comes with the interior and exterior mechanisms, two glass knobs, and two plates — everything you need to install the doorknobs, you’ll only need a screwdriver. Mine came with an optional pin to make it a privacy lock. I highly recommend this!

I bought a dozen of these schlage Custom FC21 ALX 716 CAM Alexandria Glass Knobs with Camelot Trim and I’m so happy with them I was compelled to put a review here. We wanted glass ornate knobs and when I saw these Schlage’s online, I sought out to find user submitted photos and didn’t find any on this new schlage model so I shot several photos of my install to post up and comment for others. Very straightforward installation, Quality Hardware in every respect, nothing sloppy or cheap-looking. I was concerned the ornate trim covers may not stay on since they only snap in place however they go on with a loud firm snap with no chance of being loose or coming off mistakenly. They provide an optional metal push pin, if you desire to make it a locking Passage knob, which installs with a solid indent with no concern of falling back out. Simply push the pin in to lock the door and then turn the knob to unlock it. The trim covers can be installed so the Locking pin is in the 12:00 position on the trim or you can rotate it 180 degrees and install the cover so the pin is in the six oclock position, below the door knob… a nice option for personal preference of where you want the locking pin located. The Aged bronze is a flat black color, feels like a durable scratch-resistant finish with a copper bronze rubbed through color showing through on the edges and shoulders of the trim’s design.Nothing cheesy looking about the glass knobs, they are solid and heavy with no casting seams – very smooth and comfortable in the hand.I had two issues which were not related to the product but I mention here so others might avoid. On one metal hollow-core door to a garage, I over tightened the hardware and actually compressed the metal door thickness around the hole that’s drilled to accommodate the knob. It was easy to over tighten with this wimpy hollow insulated door, so this made installing the trim a frustrating affair, because the trim is dependent on having a flat surface in order for the Snap-on design to work. However that was my screw up.The only other issue I had which was not hardware-related, I had a door that did not have a 1 inch diameter hole to accommodate the latch, I guess some older doors are a smaller diameter. I had to drill it out which was no big deal for me but would certainly be a mess if you’re not prepared to do it.Overall, very pleased. Not cheap, but I certainly feel like I got what I paid for!ps; The one in the photos is a lockable passage type but since it’s a pantry door, I opted not to install the locking push pin…. fyi.
