Really wasn’t difficult to install. Followed directions to the T. Wanted it on my daughter’s bedroom door. She loves it. Looks very authentic. I’ll be buying another for a closet door in her room. Wanted to try it out before committing to a second because of the mixed reviews, but I’m not worried about a second now.

Great look at an even better price. We ordered this on a retrofit and are quick pleased. Be careful to read the directions before you toss anything away! We almost lost some key pieces … and you’ll have to break out the glue gun, but it’s worth it.

I’ve installed four of these now, over the past three years, and have two more sets to install this year. The knobs are beautiful when installed and they are . The arched blocks seem a bit strange the first time installing them — one change made last year is when Rousso added tipping the two blocks toward the backset. These are replica knobs — and they work just like the old Victorian knobs. That means a kind of jiggle up & down in the knobs. That may feel a bit strange at first, but it’s also how the old-style knobs worked.A couple of suggestions: (1) The directions recommend using a hot glue gun. Don’t shortcut this – use the glue gun. (2) Make sure you pre-drill holes before screwing in the rosettes. (3) Make sure you back off the knob 1/4 to 1/2 turn before you add the set screw. The knob should be slightly wobbly/jiggle in order to turn correctly. If you fail to do this, the knob will turn had and may only turn in one direction. (4) Take your time when installing. Allow 30 minutes, and follow all the steps.It would be nice if Rousso would add a video HOW TO INSTALL on the knobs, but they don’t. The Rousso knobs are very reasonable, they work well, and they add a classy Victorian look.
