10 reviews for reiga 52-in Silver Ceiling Fan with Dimmable LED Light Kit Remote Control Modern Blades Reversible DC Motor, 6-speed, Timer

  1. Shells

After weeks and weeks of researching ceiling fans we took the plunge and ordered this one. Totally the best investment we have made in a while. The power of these blades in amazing. We r so impressed with this can we ordered another one for my daughters room a few days later. The light is definitely way too bright. They need to calm that down a bit. However we weren’t purchasing this for the light, we wanted a fan that could cool a room and this one passes the test and then some. Took my hubby about an hour to install. Said it wasn’t bad at all.

  2. Beguiling

When I installed a ceiling fan in my bedroom 15 years ago, I selected a fan with white blades trimmed with chrome at the rounded ends of the blades. While it worked well, as I laid in bed, I found the chrome distracting. I also wanted the fan to mount closer to the ceiling because the motor housing and the globe covering the bulb was too low.I searched on the popular websites like Wayfair, Overstock and the big box hardware stores but I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. I found this fan in one of those decorating apps. It was pricey compared to the other places but it fit everything I wanted. It is all white with high gloss easy to clean plastic blades. It has a profile that is closer to the ceiling. The first two speeds are perfectly silent. The higher speeds are less so but the sounds are still quite low.The only negative is the weird bluish glow of the LED light. I would have preferred a warmer light. Since I won’t be using it as my primary room lighting, preferring lamps on the nightstands, this weird glow will only be on briefly.I would order this product again.I had it professionally installed. The removal of the old fan and the installation of this one took about 40 minutes. Please note that the remote control does not come with a 12 v battery. I found one at Lowe’s.

Installed two of these, very quiet and looks great.

I was in the market for a sleek 3 blade fan for my patio. I decided to give this fan a try and I’m very happy with it, so I bought another one. This fan moves a lot of air and looks great in silver. DC motor is sooo quiet, I simply don’t hear it, even at top speed. The light is bright, but you can turn it off using the remote controller. The option to switch between warm white and cool white on the remote control is extremely useful. Manual doesn’t mention one important step during installation: there’s no way to fit remote receiver inside the canopy. First you have to place the fan inside the hanger bracket, then place remote receiver inside the hanger bracket. You might find it easier to connect wires after you secure remote receiver. Check the pictures. Overall, amazing fan!

For the price, this is an excellent fan. I’m happy with it.Pros:- Very nice looking fan. The faux wood grain looks realistic. Simple, clean design. It looks more expensive that it sells for, almost as nice as the $500 fans (close, but not quite).- Very quiet. I can’t hear it at all. Turn all the way up to max speed – still quiet.- Lots of features. It has a power button, 4 timer settings, and 6 speeds. The variable light color temperature is an interesting feature I’ve never seen before. Easy to use remote.- Excellent customer service. It’s email only but they always responded quickly.Cons:- It was a bit of a pain to install. The instructions didn’t quite match the fan. It required a bit more assembly than other fans I’ve installed. Some wires were too short so I had to splice in some extensions. Required a lot of time to figure out and some time undoing / redoing some steps. I could probably install in 45 minutes now that I know how. Took me 3 hours and some cursing this first time. Minus 1/2 star.- The light is very bright, like solar flare bright. We won’t use it since it’s too bright. I’m impressed that it’s not dim like other fans I’ve bought, but it really needs a dimmer.Overall 5 starsThe remote included batteries.

I used this fan in an outdoor patio with a roof where it would not be exposed to the weather. It replaced an old, gaudy fan. The parts to install this fan on a sloped ceiling are not included. I would be helpful if, in the description of this product, the seller put a note in that “installation on a sloped ceiling requires extra parts”. Also, if the instructions said what was necessary for a sloped ceiling installation, it would be helpful. I’ve installed a lot of fans so I knew what to do. You need a different canopy and mount — one that can hold the remote receiver unit. I was able to use the one from the old fan. I didn’t need to replace the ball. You will not use the canopy and mount that came with the fan. You will have to remove the wires from the mount with a small flat screwdriver. Then cut off the tips of those wires and strip the ends to about 1/2 an inch. You’ll do the common wiring — black to black, white to white, and the two green grounds to the ground wire. Then it’s just a matter of squeezing all of the wires in the canopy. I believe many sloped ceiling kits will work if the ball mount fits. Personally, I like the look of the sloped ceiling canopy much better than the chrome one included.

  7. David Tappe

Although this fan met most of our requirements, I hesitated from buying it because of some seemingly annoying characteristics mentioned in other’s reviews. I went ahead with the order and am now very glad I did so, as Reiga appears to have quietly addressed many of the annoyances — a good sign. Yes, the instructions are poorly written, but using the pictures and some general common sense and experience (I had no prior experience mounting ceiling fans however) I was able to mount with no big problems. The fan is very quiet and works very well with only a slight wobble at just the highest speeds, and the flexibility offered by its 6 speeds is nice to have. Some improvements noted/other observations:- As noted by others, the mounting bracket screw holes do not line up with common electrical boxes (they’re further apart), so I simply mounted one screw into the electrical box and the other into the ceiling joist that supported the box with a wood screw.- The light now looks to be dimmable (though a limited range of brightness) in addition to having a selection of 3 different colors. The brightness choices were good and even the brightest setting was not excessively bright as reported in previous reviews.- The unit now has a memory so it keeps the fan and light settings when power is removed (like turning off the wall switch). E.g., the light only comes on when turning on the wall switch if it was on when the wall switch was turned off previously.- The instructions now clearly show placing the remote receiving unit in the ceiling bracket, something apparently not shown in the previous instructions.- As others have noted, if you have enough room to mount using the 10″ post, doing so will make hooking up the fan and wiring to the mounting bracket much easier.- Probably my biggest complaint is that the remote doesn’t allow you to increase or decrease the fan speed with a simple up/down button — instead you have to select a specific speed from 1 to 6. Pretty minor complaint, but sometimes you don’t know which speed you’re on, so it takes a little trial and error to get to where you want. Note that there is a little slip of paper included in the remote control bag that’s the only place you’ll find clues to what the remote buttons do.

Truly a quiet fan, my favorite feature is the self timer which is for the fan and not for the light. But we don’t use the light anyway, it’s too bright and cool white. The light is non-dimmable. The fan moves a lot of air for our large living room so it is very nice. We are happy with it.

  9. Duane V

I’m very pleased with this. I hung it myself—I’ve hung many fans over the years and this one was a little more involved but not difficult. The receiver creates an additional step but the functionality it creates is great! The fan blades are hollow plastic so it feels less sturdy than a typical fan, but it makes for a super quiet fan. This fan is sleek and very attractive—just as it appears in pics. The light is 5000k LED which is a very cool (in temperature) bright light. It does require a battery that isn’t standard (A23-12V) so I had to go out for that before I could test out my newly installed device. I replaced an older, heavier, noisier fan with this unit and again, I’m VERY pleased. The remote is great—5 speed settings. It moves a LOT of air.

  10. Waikiki

This fan looks great (I have 52” white and brown one), but the instructions are awful.PROS:Nice, modern-looking fanMoves a TON of air, even on low. 3 bladed fans move a lot of air, but make a tad more wind noise. More blades – more wind resistance, so 8 blades move less air, but are a tad quieter. We find the added noise just fine, not remotely bothersome at all, not even in the bedroom. Of the 6 speeds, 3 is the MAX we’ve every used in a 20×20 room. #6 is like a hurricane! The light is very bright, you can change color temperatures, which is greatCONS:Fan responds a bit slow to commands. It’s not as bad as it sounds, but there’s a beep from pressing the remote’s button, then you hear a click from the fan, and the command is executed. Once you get used to it, it’s really nothing…The light is very bright, a dimmer would be nice. If set on the warmest color temperature, it’s OK. On the daylight setting, it’s glaring and very bright.A SLIGHT increase in wind noise, typical of 3-bladed fans. We actually like the white noise. On low, it’s silent, but moves as much air as 3-speed fans on #2.AWFUL instructions. I have experience hanging fans, I knew that the ONLY place the big remote module will fit is in the opening at the top of the mount bracket. My brother, who hadn’t installed a fan in 20 yrs, had never done one like that. It literally took him an hour to figure it out on his own, because the instructions make no mention of where to put the huge box. It’ll never fit in the metal cone. One picture, with one sentence, would have made the difference….
