Standing Against the Wall

When you stand against the wall, keeping your feet pointing straight forward, as well as your butt, back of your shoulders and the back of your head.

Use the Wall as a map to stand straight up/vertical

Your body will use the wall as a map and will learn how being straight vertically feels. When you use the Slant Board, the heels become the focal point where your major joints align from.

Stretching the feet and legs using Small Foam Block between knees

The bottom of the foot starts stretching, creating a chain reaction up the knee, hip, shoulder and head. After 5 minutes, get off and walk. You will feel like you are walking on air.

Wall DropWall Drop

Wall Drop–Back of your body against the wall.

1- Stand on the Slant Board, feet pointed straight and hip hip-width apart with your head, shoulders, and butt against the wall.

2- Let your hands hand down at your sides.

3- Relax your stomach and upper body.

4- Keep your knees extended during the time you are on the slant board.

You will feel a stretch in your calf and ankle muscles. Hold for 5 minutes.

This exercise pressures the body to stay in optimal alignment while doing it, which in turn helps balance the pelvis and spine properly.

Gravity DropGravity Drop

Gravity Drop–Front of your body facing the wall.

1- Stand on the Slant Board, feet pointed straight and hip hip-width apart with your head, facing a column, the frame of a door, railing or another object for support.

2- Keep your feet parallel, and hip-width apart.

3- Make sure your feet stay pointed straight ahead.

4- Your hips, shoulders, and ears need to be in line with your ankles.

5- Keep your knees extended and roll your hips forward keeping an arch on your lower back. Do not push your hips forward and your upper spine back.

The exercise stretches the back of our legs and reduces rotation on the pelvis, your body will become more symmetric and balanced.

TRY THIS EXERCISE: SITTING ANKLE SEQUENCE

INSTRUCTIONS:

1- Sit on a Posture Therapy Large Foam Block or on a chair and place your feet on the Slant Board so that your knees and ankles are aligned with your hip.

The feet need to be pointed straight ahead.

2-Place a Posture Therapy Small Foam or Inflatable Block between your knees. Squeeze the block lightly and maintain constant pressure on it.

3-Using the muscles of the back of your feet, push your heels up off the slant board so that only the balls of your feet and toes are in contact with the Slant Board. Return the heels back down and repeat the movement 20 times.

4- Using the muscles of the front of your foot (instep), lift the balls and toes of your feet up off the Slant Board so that only the heels are in contact with the Slant Board. Return them back down and repeat the movement 20 times.

Important: The Slant Board has 4 levels 10,20,30 40 degrees. Choose a level that feels comfortable for you and at the same time you feel a challenge. The higher, the more challenged.

You can do this exercise sitting at your desk, while you are working. Get some mobility to the lower part of your body during the many hours of sitting.

    The Slant Board is exactly what it says in the description. Very sturdy and safe, it’s easy to use. it doesn’t slip and the lip locks very well on each level. (I had another slant board where it slipped and not as sturdy) i am glad i made the switch to this product.I use it to put under the desk while working so I can move and exercise my feet and calf muscles.Every one should have one, I recommend it!

    This product is very sturdy and safe. I tried it at it’s most inclined position and gripped firmly to the floor without moving. Rounded edges, made of solid wood. It felt stable while getting off and on.I would definiteley reccomend it.
