    I needed a set of dummy knobs to match doorknobs bought previously from another company (I could not find the same finish-but you saved the day!) ⁴

    My wife was ecstatic when she opened the package of eight of these knobs on Christmas morning. I easily, and quickly installed them on bedroom, bathroom and closet doors later that day and they added a very nice touch of elegance to our home. They are solidly built and all parts exactly align. I ‘m in my seventies and no longer skilled at many home improvements, but it took only about ten minutes per door to achieve the replacements. My only concern is that the phillips head wood screws are made of soft metal and are prone to stripping the heads if using a strong electric drill/screwdriver. But with a little careful attention to what you are doing, things should turn out perfectly.

    The style of these is perfect for use in a newer, more formal home. They do NOT look like direct reproductions of the antique knobs that one might use when restoring a historic property, mostly in that I believe the knob itself is a bit larger than the antique hardware and could not be expected to match. They are clearly modern hardware but give an obvious nod to that old, formal style which is what I wanted since I wanted the formal look without looking like I forgot what era my home was.I installed 9 of these throughout my home without any problems and felt the build quality was good, and the look is excellent since the knobs are faceted and refract surrounding ambient light. I love that the lock mechanism is easier to pop than most interior knobs I’ve seen which provides privacy without fully restricting access from the outside.For the price they were a great way to add a little attention to detail to my home, replacing older brass levers with something more up to date that kept in line with the more formal features of my home.
