RECESSED FORWARD – BACKWARD SWITCH on the back of the head prevents you from accidental actuations in the middle of an important job
LOW PROFILE HEAD DESIGN allows you to work in an engine bay without issue
ONBOARD FUEL GAUGE: Lights on the side of the unit will let you know how much power you have left
LED LIGHTING on the front of the unit allows you to see your job in dimly lit conditions
REDLINK INTELLIGENCE: A smart chip in this unit allows it to communicate with the M12 battery plugged into it. This prevents it from receiving too much power and overheating, saving it from unnecessary damage

Very surprising unit. Well built. Rugged. Decent price. At this point the unit appears that it will last a very long time. I am very happy with this cordless ratchet wrench. Update: The wrench began to stop running periodically. I tried 2 different Milwaukee brand M12 2 amp batteries. The batteries are good and the contacts looked good. I decided to return the unit and apply the credit to the next higher model that is sold by Milwaukee. It arrived and so far is working well. I believe this problem was a rare fluke. Milwaukee tools do not usually fail. The seller is excellent and fully supports their product.

I use this every time I work on my vehicles now. It’s only good to about 35 ft lbs, so use a regular ratchet to loosen the bolts/nuts, and spin them the rest of the way off with this little jewel. It has saved me a lot of time, and wear and tear on my aging wrists.

I’ve spent many years as a professional mechanic without a 3/8″ electric ratchet (I had a wimpy 1/4″ Skil brand, that lacked torque, before), depending instead on air ratchets, but my new shop doesn’t have a permanent air system yet, and listening to a portable compressor run sucked, so I purchased the bare tool (same M-12 batteries my other tools use) to do a Mercedes water pump that uses about a dozen Torx E bolts buried where a manual ratchet would have been very slow and tedious. This tool offers plenty to torque at 35 ft-lbs to remove or install bolts (or nuts) that have been broken free of tightened toque (using a manual rachet or this unit AS a manual ratchet) even if stubbornly tight from rust/sealant/etc. HF offers an electric ratchet that advertises 60 ft-lb , but frankly that can be too much for comfort or safety with small fasteners, and the lighter, cheaper, and shorter (more convenient) Milwaukee ratchet is perfect IMO.

I purchased this with low expectations on product. Seriously A battery operated ratchet cannot compete with a air powered ratchet right? Boy was I wrong. First off the head of the tool is compact and gets into tight places easier than a air ratchet. Secondly your not fighting with a air hose. Now for real I didn’t purchase this tool to take off lug nuts. I didn’t expect it to be the strongest ratchet in the universe. However I cant stand using a hand ratchet and taking 100 turns to get a bolt out and 50 more to go. What I love about this tool is you can use it manually to break the bolt or nut loose and then use the battery to remove the bolt your working on. Honestly I tried to break it. I was rough with it. Not throwing it around or abusing it. But using it like a mechanic that doesn’t have time to be gentle. It performed very well. The battery life is just unreal. I tore down a engine and rebuilt the engine using this ratchet and I only charged the battery once. If your looking for a battery operated ratchet and dont want to spend the BIG money ON SNAP ….. then I assure you this one is great.

One of the most frustrating things for me when working on any newer car is the plastic covers that hide everything including the under carriage. Makes even changing the oil and filter a chore. Decided that I needed to go with a cordless ratchet to zip those covered off and on. Did an oil change on a Kia Sportage and reduced my effort and time considerably. The ability to just reach back with this ratchet and un- bolt the covers was refreshing. I also work on some industrial equipment that has a bunch of covers and this tool is perfect. The size of this cordless ratchet makes maneuverability simple compared to the larger and heavier air ratchet that I have been using with the added bonus of no air compressor or hose to deal with. Can’t convey enough how impressed I am with the Milwaukee line of cord less ratchets and impact tools. Switched over to Milwaukee cord less impacts as well and could not be happier. Bought a spare battery for this ratchet but really can’t think of a job that I would actually need a spare battery based on my use.

Like- it works, it a Milwaukee!. I chose the M12 and NOT the M12FUEL simply because it cheaper and balance well with my hands. it testing it if it does 35 ftlbs of torque.so far, using the tool, I can use it as a regular ratchet and torque up to 80Ftlbs. w/o breaking a sweat. let me repeat as a Ratchet and NOT using the motor to torque it. what this means the 3/8 ratchet head can easily take up to 80 ftlbs w/o breaking the ratchet.I still have to see how strong the electric ratchet can torque the bolt..speed wish, it fast enough. !update: I just went through doing a Radiator replacement and Tranny pan replacement. this is a truly a handy tool, as I did not want to unscrew and screw bolts as it hurts my wrist. and working underneath the car, its hard enough as the clearance is not that great. I can still use my other Milwaukee hex impact driver but its heavy.this Ratchet is ligh enough and I can use it to break the screw off and use the electric ratchet to completely remove the bolt.worth every penny spent!

The media could not be loaded. Nice reversible driver with plenty of torque. I like The Rubberized grips and squeeze trigger. The speed can be varied from slow to fast consistently. It has a nice light indicator on the side to let you know how much battery life Remains. And, there is also a light to illuminate your work area. The recessed mechanism that switches the ratchet from forward to reverse has a nice positive feedback so you know that you’ve switched from forward to reverse. This was a great purchase and I am very satisfied. Will update after some use

Well balanced price, durability, power and battery life.Real torque around 26’/ibs. Make my mission much easier. May be not a great solution for busy repair shop or production floor – air tools from IR is proved by life… but for field engineering service it`s just a correct tool. Save me a ton of time on taking aparts production equipment and robotics setups. We ordered tool from Amazon and the rest from Northern Tool inc. 3 battery set is very helpful for 5-6 hr of intensive labor. In comparison with Metabo (our supplier for last 17 years.) is way lighter and less expensive, and allow to reach to tight spots easely. Smaller torque is not a big deal – anyway we have to torque all fasteners manually to precise spec and print out all this data for customer reference.

I work as a professional auto technician and this has been my go to tool lately. Decided to try this out before I upgrade to the fuel. Only been using it a week and now I’m ready to upgrade. I pieced the set together with the aftermarket batteries (2) and got the whole kit with charger for 130$ Vs 150$ for the Milwaukee kit. I love this thing. If you use a ratchet often put it down and pick this thing up.

I absolutely love this thing. Mechanic by trade. Use it ever day. Good battery life. Nice light although sometimes the light is useless. I use it to break fasteners free. I use it to tighten them up and add a quarter turn. Hasn’t failed me yet. Good size for my grip. If I had one thing bad to say it would be the location of the direction switch. It’s on top. Like a normal ratchet. That means I have backed out bolts and gotten it pinned on other parts. Changing the switch location would make this tool even better.
