10 reviews for Milwaukee 2426-20 M12 12 Volt Redlithium Ion 20,000 OPM Variable Speed Cordless Multi Tool with Multi-Use Blade, Sanding Pad, and Multi-Grit Sanding Papers (Battery Not Included, Power Tool Only)

If you want something cheap that works just as good then go to harbor freight! But if you own Milwaukee brand tools/batteries and you want something super portable and cordless then put the harbor freight one back on the shelf and pick up one of these.I just wanted portability and to be able to use batteries I already owned so it was worth the price for me.

  2. Ken

The Milwaukee 2426 12V multi-tool that I ordered arrived in perfect shape and only needed a blade & battery; the blade was provided, the battery was not, but I knew that. I fail to understand the reasoning of people who purchase a tool advertised as “tool only” thinking they will get a battery & charger and/or a tool bag with their purchase. C’mon folks- “tool only” means just that! Anyhow, I am very satisfied with my multi-tool and am extremely happy with the tool’s performance and the seller’s promptness for delivery.

As a service plumber, this tool cannot be slept on. I’ll admit I was skeptical of the 12v output, but I “cheaped” out and got this one over the 18v anyways and it has yet to disappoint. Plus, it fits into your average tool bag with relative ease due to it’s size. For anyone who does any type of residential repair work, this thing can really save your ass/make a lot of jobs easier. From what I can see, most of your multitool blades should work on this thing. I bought some random 20 piece blade kit that wasn’t a brand name, or advertised for this tool for that matter, and they worked just fine. 5/5 would recommend.

  4. Megalith

Bought this for my sister as an X-mass present. Her husband uses it more than she does. He’s does construction and finishing, and when he goes on a project, this tool is an essential item in his go to bag. They both love it and don’t go a week without either of them needing to use it. I own the M18 version, but sometime wish I had bought the M12 version instead. Almost as powerful, but half the weight and size.

  5. Mr Orange

This thing is awesome. I also have a corded fein which is definitely my go-to if I’m doing a lot of sanding, but for detail cuts, under cutting jambs, etc. this is all I use now. It’s small, has plenty of power, and the battery life is sufficient. They’re small batteries so don’t expect them to last all day. They charge fast, so it works out. Wish it was a quick change blade, but I can live with it. Small size and cordless makes up for taking a little extra time to change the blade. I’m a remodeling contractor and use this thing almost daily. I’ve had it for 3 or 4 months now, and absolutely love it.

This is one of the most versatile tools I own. Over the last two years this thing as been in my hand as much as my drill, impact driver, or angle grinder (and all of these I use a TON). This is my second one, the first one bit the dust after about a year, but it was heavy use and maybe it was just a bad apple? Anyway, there a higher capacity battery packs now available for this tool so you can get even more time out of a charge, the standard 12V battery will go about 20 minutes on 3/4 intensity setting.

  7. Anonymous Reviewer Dude

Great value for the price. I paid $50 for this multi-tool and it is really nice! This is the third one of these I’ve bought, I got one for my brother for Christmas and my wife uses one for sanding. Great tool! In fact, the M12 Milwaukee tools are the best bang for the buck in the cordless tool industry, IMO! I have the band saw, the recip saw, the drill, the impact driver, the jigsaw, and the new stapler, and they all are my most used tools.

  8. Nostabo

I am a remodeling contractor. Every Milwaukee M-12 cordless tool which I own is great. The Multi-tool is no exception. It is not as hardy as the M-18 version, but it is lighter and still gets the work done. It beats looking for a cord or a plug when you need to make that small finish cut. I have used it to cut door jambs for flooring, though you will use up some batteries if you are cutting a house full of doors.I use both the extended 3.0 amp batteries (longer run time) and the 2.0 amp ones (smaller profile.) I can pack around a load of M-12 tools as opposed to my M-18 versions…I have both and they all have a purpose in my work.

  9. McLaing

This was a replacement to my corded bigger tool that finally died.Only wish it had died way sooner because this little power house is just incredible. It’s almost in a tool category of it’s own.I don’t know why, but it just cuts thru stuff so much faster, easier and quieter.I had it a couple of months and it’s my go-to tool now.Still on the original blade too.It even cuts thru thick heavy wood like it thinks it’s a circular saw.Highly impressed.

  10. Heath K

I’m an electrician. I’ve been using rock saws for years and have always found them more of a burden and mess than their worth. This tool is a game changer if you cut into walls of any kind, besides concrete. I have not tried metal siding and am happy tonot need to for my work. I have used this same tool in the past, but it was company owned. Now I have my own shiny, brand new tool and it saves so much time! Can’t say enough good things about Milwaukee and their cordless tool line up.
