10 reviews for Marey GA10LP Power 10L 3.1 GPM Propane Gas Tankless Water Heater, Liquid, White

We bought this hot water tank in May. I wanted to wait till the end of our camping season (October) to review it. This is a great on demand hot water tank for our camper. My husband installed it, this was the second tank we have had so he knew what he was doing. It gave us consistent hot water without the random fluctuations the previous tank had. We have just above the minimum, 30lbs of pressure is the minimum suggested, water pressure in our campground and it worked great.

Wow … Great Product. I use it for my Hunting camp as a Shower/Dish Washer setup. It is rigged with a “Pull” pump from the stream into the heating unit and heated with a Propane tank. On it’s highest setting, the cold mountain stream water was heated to 120 degrees (Very Hot). Had to turn it down to take a shower (~ 100 degrees). The Temperature display is nice to have and the temperature adjustments are easy to control. The water pressure is a lot better than the previous one I had (7 ltr). Would strongly recommend to others looking to smell pretty while camping in the woods … 😉

Product faulty out of the box…zero customer support…have called numerous times…sent three emails…do not gamble and waste your money…the videos on Utube are great…used them to take unit apart and diagnose problem, but no part available except from company….so do not waste your time or money!

  4. Melissa

This is a great on demand water heater for the price. It was fairly easy to install. The hardest part was finding the right vent pieces for the spot we have it installed. It takes some fine tuning and experimentation to get the temperature settings where they need to be. It all depends on your specific plumbing system and personal preference. It does get very hot in the highest setting so it takes some adjusting to get it just right. I highly recommend this unit. So far so good!

Cheap for radiant floor heater. Will sustain 120° outflow with a 40° inflow. I think it puts out more btu’s than the manual says (based on propane consumption) but for $128 scratch and dent warehouse special, I am very pleased with the performance.Almost all problems I read about these units can be fixed by removing the screen on the inlet water side. That’ll open it up to flow plenty to kick on when needed. I have 2 of these heaters, one for the radiant floor and the other for our off grid house’s hot water. The water heater has been in service for 2 years with zero problems, still on the first set of D batteries.

Replacement for 20 year old aqua star. Needed one that did not require electricity. Have used this for several months with no issues. Tech support doesn’t answer emails, but not really an issue. Not sure how long it will last. Bought a second one as a backup.

  7. K’Tina

This is amazing in a lifesaver I haven’t had hot water over a year it heats up instantly and it doesn’t use that much propane but I also cut mine off and only use the hot water for showers

  8. Mee

Bought this to repace a 30 year old Auqua Star 125VP. Very easy to install and I have it set at at steady 124 degrees. I have a huge house and this thing can handle whatever you throw at it. No bells or whistle, it heats your water. Who in the hell would need a hot water heater that you talk to, or will hook to wifi? SMDH

  9. Connie

I have a very basic off-grid second home with an open outdoor shower. The old hot water heater there when I moved in was shot. Seemed like I had all the conditions (good water pressure, separate hot and cold water controls in the shower. etc.) that would make an on-demand hot water system be a good choice. One of my neighbors had a Marey On-demand (installed in a box outside his house) already there when he moved in and was happy with it. I researched and found the Marey GL 10LP had good reviews and was within my budget, so I purchased. My handyman neighbor installed it for me in the small shed where the old hot water heater had been and connected to the original plumbing for the shower with no problems. I’ve been using the Marey for a few months now whenever I’m at my second home. Only problem has been that when I turn on the cold to adjust the temperature, the hot often turns off, I think because the water pressure to the hot inlet decreases. I solved this by easily adjusting the gas so the hot water comes out at a comfortable temperature and I don’t use the cold at all. I2m really happy with it and would recommend to others.

Not being a plumber made the installation more difficult than it should have been, however, the instruction manual was a real +++++, the exhaust system was difficult and took special tools, the z-exhaust system of stainless steel was a real plus, used flex tubing for the input and output, however that said, the most difficult was the propane hose lines, these lines were custom made….this took 2 30 mile trips to town to resolve the issues, the main point here, if you are off grid this is the way to go, 2-D cell power the system, I used the plastic line with glue that was rated for hot water, none of the glued joints leaked………3 week of work and the system is a BIG improvement to someone living off grid……
