    I’m just SO disappointed…I had no idea that not all door knobs are not made the same size. Our kitchen was just painted and I wanted to put a nice antique brass door knob on the old door now that it was all painted and beautiful. When I told our painted not to install the old knob because I bought this one, he informed me that it probably wouldn’t fit because the inner workings were totally different! And sure enough, when this really beautiful knob set arrived I opened the box and without even unwrapping it, I could see that it wasn’t going to fit. SHUCKS! I really wanted it!

    Take note: these are nice doorknobs, but the two sides ship screwed together with the screws that normally hold them to opposite sides of the door. Unfortunately, the screws are held firmly with industrial-strength thread lock, and it takes considerable force to free the sides from one another. Be careful you don’t slip and run the screwdriver into your hand.
