I like the size for my work as a Sculptier. It is made out of good materials. The ebony in the main body is real wood and the metal on the blade takes a sharpening. Does not seems to be great steel, but does the job. Will test it on real work and see if it holds an edge.

I bought this for working on a wooden model ship, and I couldn’t be happier with it. Right out of the package,it planed beautiful little curls from a plank I was narrowing. I didn’t even have to hone the blade for a sharp edge although I did adjust it a bit. It has made this laborious task quick and easy. Almost fun!

I was most pleasantly surprised by this, the plane manages to have good heft and not feel anything like the other planes in this category (most would better be in the toys category, but not this one. I rarely leave reviews but this deal is nearly unbelievable and is worthy of a glowing review. This plane is better than others I’ve used which were 10x the price, an amazing value! This is most definitely not a toy and is of shockingly good quality from feel to operation and adjustment. I liked the quality of this so much that I purchased a spare a week after purchasing the first one so I have one to use in case something happens to the other. My main go-to plane for small projects especially ale modeling and smaller woodworking like luthier precision jobs. Square and flat out of the box, no cumbersome flattening of blade needed – Ready to use out of the box (or I got lucky twice), these are That Good.

I have used this little tool for shaving down wooden bridges on acoustic guitar and it is an absolute gem for detail work. The blade can be set so low you can barely see it, and it works like a dream. Whether it’s luthier work, or detailed model work I highly recommend this little tool. Solidly built, some decent weight to it and the quality is obvious.

It’s crafted like it should be out of a museum. I got it to help my vinyl flooring job but didn’t use it. I did use it to shave a little off the bottom of a door and it did the job…but kind of small for that.

Even though this planer is pint sized (literally fits in the palm of your hand) it’s unbelievably well built and had performed amazing!

I don’t need it to be a 50$ plane that’s somehow going for $20. Its a little weeny plane and works fine for rounding edges and little jobs.
