Install was simple and straightforward. There are design features that are helpful during the installation process, so there was some thought put into this fan. The instructions are clear and written in actual English, not fortune cookie. The balance is spot on right out of the box. There was a noise, but I quickly found that it was the glass lens buzzing. Odd that there is not a grommet, but the buzzing is eliminated by unscrewing the lens a few degrees so that there is more tension on it. The control for the dimmer is not my favorite, but it does the job and if you prefer a certain setting, that is what the light comes on to (the light had a “memory,” so the brightness that it’s at when you turn it off is the brightness when you turn it on).

The fan went right up and replaced an existing ceiling light. It’s very quiet and runs extremely smoothly. No balancing was required although a kit was provided. The LED lights provided are quite adequate and the dimming feature is quite smooth. The only issue I had was determining how to reverse the fan. The installation manual clearly shows a reverse switch inside the light bowl. My fan had no such switch! I had to call the manufacturer and found out that the fan can only be reversed by using the remote control. It’s pretty simple. Just hold down the fan button until it flashes then the fan will reverse. NO WHERE IN THE SUPPLIED MANUAL DOES IT EXPLAIN THIS so hopefully people who purchase this otherwise fantastic fan will be able to determine this (by calling Hunter Support) as I did or read my posting here.

This was my first time installing a ceiling fan by myself. I watched probably a dozen DIY YouTube videos and felt like I had it down to a science before the fan even arrived. After it was all said and done, I’m extremely happy with how it looks and operates. I mainly decided to purchase this fan for the HomeKit connectivity, and so far so good. Saying, “Hey, Siri, turn fan down to 25%” or “turn fan light to 50%” does actually makes life easier. Controlling it from the HomeKit app itself has also been great. The physical remote that comes with the fan is fine. There’s no way to control the dimmer on the light kit (that I know of) which was my only issue. Otherwise, it works well enough and looks clean to the eye. I believe the Aerodyne is the best price point for a fan that works with HomeKit. If that’s important to you and you’re ready to upgrade, I recommend this fan.

This fan works very quietly, even at top speed. Using HomeKit, I can ask Siri through HomePods to turn fan to 50%, 100%, etc. Likewise, I can turn the light on and off by voice. It isn’t that the remote control is so difficult—it isn’t—but simply that voice allows one to make changes on the fly without needing access to the remote. You don’t need HomeKit to use this fan, but HomeKit will give you greater use.

Fantastic Ceiling fan. It was my first time installing a fan and it was extremely easy with the directions provided. It looks great, it’s super quiet, it moves a lot of air, and it’s super bright. What more could you ask for… Oh yes it connected to Google super easy all you have to do is download their app, follow the directions and then sync the app to Google home. You can control the light and the fan separately or at the same time your choice. 10/10… oh and this fan was $200 at Lowe’s and on Amazon it was $160 with a 20% off coupon bringing it down to $130 at the time I bought it. I couldn’t be happier.

Many said didn’t work on Alexis, but it does. Just have a twenty-thirty year old set it up. I put it in my living room and decided to hire an electrician to install because it is an old house and the ceiling electricity had been cut off for decades….It pushes air all over the room and the electrician said, “Wow, that really moves air.” That pleased me. It looks classy and the light adds great ambiance to the room. The light dims and the fan has many speeds. One of the best things I have purchased on Amazon. Zero wobbling.
