This is not a “beginner/novice” install…I am a long time DIY guy, i repair and build out everything i have ever owned…Its big, its a heavy light (not unreasonable weight) make sure you “know for sure” you ceiling mount will hold the weight…. i had to upgrade my ceiling mount hardware (the last fan installed weighed less than 20lbs was 40″ wide…..) i had a smaller dinky fan previously and the existing ceiling mount worked for that thing….not for the weight of this thingi have recieved a ton of compliments on the fan, it fits my 12′ high ceilings better and it moves alot of airIt is easy to install if you are experienced a little, assembly is Simple and straightforward… my biggest concern was the weight and rating of the ceiling mounting hardware, this would hurt someone if fell from the ceilingEveryone is very impressed with the fan itself

The media could not be loaded.  The fans are AWESOME! We had no issues with installation and they look great in our rustic-industrial looking home. They do provide a good amount of air/wind as well. We purchased rods to hang them at the right level as our ceilings are slightly higher than normal. We are very happy with the purchase.

Read the negative reviews, and they’ll all tell you that it doesn’t move a TON of air. Most big fans do – this advertises the volume of air it moves, and it’s not a lot – know that up front. The blades are relatively thin for the length. I will say that I’ve turned the fan up to high, and I thought it was plenty breezy, but I just wanted something stylish to help circulate the air more than anything – we have A/C, so cooling the room isn’t my real intention. The fan is heavy, but installs just like any other. It DOES have separate wiring for two switches – one for the light, one for the fan on/off. It also comes with a remote. My one complaint about the remote is that the little bracket that is meant to attach it to the wall doesn’t really hold it securely, so it moves around a bit when you’re pushing buttons. It’s clear the bracket was a bit of an afterthought. The blades are reversible and have either a medium dark wood look (what we chose) or a light grey-ish wood look. Seems like one of those two choices would work well in just about any space. The light is a built-in LED. A lot of reviews seem to complain that it’s not very bright. I personally wasn’t disappointed, but I do have the option of other overhead lights and lamps in the room, so maybe I’m not the best judge. The metal is described as “brushed nickel”. I definitely disagree. If anything, it’s satin nickel, but I’d say it’s verging on polished. Not chrome, but quite shiny. Personally, it fits my tastes just fine, but if you specifically want brushed nickel, you’ll likely be disappointed. The fan is super stylish, though. It can be installed right up at the ceiling or with the included short downrod as desired. With eight blades and a span of 62″, it’s BIG and makes a statement. For reference, our room is about 15’x15′ and has 9′ ceilings. We installed it to hug the ceiling. I almost didn’t buy this as Honeywell recommends a room that’s at least 20’x20′ for a fan this size, but I think it’s just right in our space. Maybe the ceiling height helps. Overall, I definitely recommend this.

This is beautiful and powerful. All fans take effort to install, thankful my husband is good at it with his few choice words. LolGonna order a couple more. Quiet also.In a 12×12 bedroom. A little over kill, but that’s what I wanted.UPDATE: I bought two more of the brushed Nickel and one dark copper. Same install no issues on silver, cause I bought new. I ordered dark copper as a damaged box, not being told it was used not just damaged box. Some idiot bought it, didn’t know how to install and cut the wires from the motor and threw it back in the box with missing screws and such, so I had to send it back. This is not for those who can not or do not want to read or have never put up a fan, so this is not a first time project. It is very wrong someone would mess something up and blame the product instead of their own inadequacies. I guess you can tell I’m pretty put out with who ever out there sent this back messed up, fortunately I have Prime and it went right back. So, as of now we have put up three with NO issues except for the messed up one I had to send back. For those of you complaining about air movement, the pitch of blade and motor are what determines air movement. The size of room for a less pitch blade also makes a difference. Make sure to determine pitch 14 degrees or more if you want a lot of air movement. The light can be very bright if you push remote to one side or another to turn light brighter or dimmer. Again Read Directions.Another thing this is NOT an outside fan, so when it quits working, blame yourself, because even though it might not be in rain, there is still fog and wind with dirt that will go in fan.

This fan look so good and modern. Instalation took less than an hour. This fan has lots of power yet is so quite. The package has a fan balance kit but there was no need. I turned up up to high right away and no movement at all. You;re going to love this fan.

  6. Kathryn Rivera

I absolutely love this fan! Installation was easy. It hooked right up to our pre-wired connections and works perfectly by switches or the remote without issue. It has such a perfectly transitional design to it. Clean lines. Not too modern, not too rustic. I get compliments on it anytime someone comes over. We also added an 18” downrod that matches very well to add additional drop. (Hunter 26042)

This ceiling fan is the exact look I was looking for in my living room. The fan is like a farm industrial look. It was also pretty easy to install. Great fan and great price!

  8. Amazon Customer

I love this fan. The fan did not have any foul smell at all. It was very easy to assemble and install. It looks beautiful in my living room, simply seamless, nice lighting not too bright, simple design and a beautiful accent to my room.

This thing pushed AIR MAN! Holy smokes! If you need a cheap and ineffective fan, like the one we replaces with this one, then don’t get this one. If you need a fan that works well, what cools you off on a warm summer night, get this one.My only hiccup was the fact that the battery that it needs is REALLY weird. I had never seen one before, and did not know if it was gonna even be available in stores. I found one at Albertsons (a USA national chain of grocery and household goods store-kind-of-a-place)… Anyhoo…This was one of the easiest things I’ve been able to with the help of me and my son to assist. We used two 6′ ladders to do the whole thing.First we turned off the circuit breaker outside. DO NOT TRY TO SKIP THIS STEP!!!Then we unscrewed the old fan in place and replaced the mounting bracket, (which you NEED to replace due to a little piece that helps the whole thing not come off and kill someone…) and then wire up the wires according to the manual… it was super easy. My ONLY frustration was that the only way to control the fan was to use the remote and the battery that it came with, was DEAD. For a few hours we thought we had gotten a broken fan… but it was just a battery issue. Once we got it replaces— it was all good. We’ve had the fan for just over a month, and absolutely LOVE it. If you are looking for a quiet and quite beautiful fan, this is the one!Oh… and we discovered if you hold the light button on the remote, it will cause the light to dim or grow brighter… so that’s cool!

This fan is a wonderful accent to our Livingroom. Thankfully my other is handy and was able to install it. The assembly was easy but time consuming. If you pay an electrician,be sure to put the blades on 1st!!
