They are cheap, orange, ugly, and (strong) plastic but they are sized well for wide range use, grip fairly well, and most important… they will keep your fingers on your hand. I’m now using these on a 700 lb., 5 hp, Baileigh that will gladly leave you armless in the blink of an eye… ..with just a sneeze or a split-second lapse of concentration …and I feel comfortably safe using these push blocks.NOTE: If you are new to table saws do NOT let a push block give you a false sense of security. People still lose fingers while using push blocks (sadly, i’ve witnessed this) so respect the saw, operate ONLY if you are 100% focused on your work, and NEVER let the fact that you are, at any second… just an inch or so away… or just one, slight distraction away….from having a body part amputated…NEVER let that VERY REAL fact leave your mind while working, never move your hands towards, or reach in to grab your work at the blade until the motor COMPLETELY STOPS spinning. Wait ’til you hear SILENCE before a move.. Even as the blade slows to a halt, even that very last (slow) spin or two can still amputate a finger. Even when using these safety blocks, RESPECT THE SAW!!!

This was a wonderful and prefect addition to our project. We were cutting full sheets herring bone mosaic tiles, that were an absolute pain to cut. The multiple instruments allowed us to use our wet saw with ease and efficiency. We were able to get smooth consistent contact from all of the pad on the tiles so they stayed in place as we cut. They do absorb water, however, they dry and wipe clean easily. We found the different angles of the handles especially useful. I can definitely see the benefits if you have larger pieces as well. 10/10 would recommend if you have a fear of loosing a finger lol

  3. Rich Harris

I bought to help with cuts on my table saw. I have used them for rip and cross cutting without issue. I have used them with 2×4’s, 1×4’s, 1/4” luan and 3/4” maple plywood.I will not say they are perfect however if you think any push block is perfect you may want to keep a first aid kit and phone nearbyThey have gripped well and provided very positive control especially on several cuts that were smaller and required a lot of attention to stay clear of the blade. The selection of blocks are great for most applications. With any cut test your control and movement on a dry run first. Then turn on the saw.

I was looking at the Gripper blocks and, while they are very good with excellent reviews, I felt there were other options. This set was perfect, the price was excellent, and the reviews spoke highly of the product. Reality is this: Anything that keeps my fingers out of the path of a saw blade is worth it. In this case, if I chew up any of these parts, I won’t cringe like I would with the $80 – $100 Gripper. This set covers all the scenarios I would encounter, so versatility is on spot! I will also admit that seeing the pics of the reviewer who cut a finger and whack his eye was a motivator. Bought this set same day!

  5. David Johnson

I had been using a piece of thin cutoff scrap with a notch cut in the end when I use my table saw, but it seems that every tutorial woodworking video I have watched showed someone using plastic push blocks and push sticks such as these. After finally buying them, I can see there is a big difference and I am happy I got them. I really only needed the push sticks for now, but those blocks will come in handy when I can get my jointer working as well. Great purchase.

  6. Michel Theunissen

I was routing on my router table, and one of long push sticks hit the bit while pushing the wood through the bit, and it shattered a corner off it. Luckily it wasn’t my hand or finger. It scared me and I realized how powerful the router is. The backing of the push sticks is nice and grips firmly on the wood while pushing it through the router.

  7. Johnny Rocket

I’ve been one of those people for years either pushing stuff through with my hands or grabbing a scrap chunk of wood. I figured it’s time to finally invest a little in my safety. I was pleasantly surprised when these arrived at what high-quality pieces they are, especially for the price! $16 isn’t worth losing a finger over, and this set comes with everything you need.

  8. T-Bone85

Throw the push stick away – as a shop teach for 33 years – any push stick is dangerous as hell on a table saw!!!(not the fault of the product – fault of design) NOW the push SHOE is ideal, and this thin push shoe works well ,the other push shoe blocks used for a jointer work are excellent also. The offset handle is a plus too on the push shoe blocks.

I always held up my left-hand pinkie to my Grandsons before starting a woodworking project on the power tools.”Know what this is?” I asked. “It’s a woodworker ordering 5 beers.” I then instructed them to hold up both hands and take a look at all 10 fingers.”Our job here today is to finish this work with all ten on these exactly as they are right now. I don’t want to have to tell your parents how you lost these working with Grandpa”.Next I instructed them on the proper use of these excellent tools. Beats the fool out of making my own. These are quality safety items. The bright orange color reminds you “Use me, save your fingers”.Just bought a new table saw after not having one for a couple of years. Immediately, I ordered this safety equipment. Via Amazon, I had them in my hands (all ten fingers present!) within 24 hours. Amazing service, excellent product!
