If you are a professional lumberjack, ya, you already know where to get your high end gear. But for the rest if us mere mortals, this kit is perfect. It has everything you need to keep you safe. The helmet is comfy enough. The face shield is easy to see through, yet it keeps out the woodchips. And the ear protection works well enough. The chaps adjust well, and have a nice pocket big enough to keep 1 or 2 small wedges. Pretty handy. Overall for the price you can’t beat it.

I wanted a protective kit such as this when cutting/trimming trees. We take out over a dozen per year on our place and I’ve gone 40+ years without protection. Figured my luck was getting close to the end. Hat fits well and ear muffs do a good job. The hood has protected my safety glasses. I’ll have to add some heavy suspenders to the chaps, however, as I have to keep pulling them up. Great value.

I have a friend who spent about $200 on major namebrand saftely equipment for all the same stuff I got here. When compared side by side, it is difficult to tellwhy that stuff was almost 3x the $$. His chaps are noticeably higher quality but going from no chaps to these chaps will do most people just fine. The helmet is great and comfortable and the hearing protection does a great job. I am happy with my purchase!

My husband is very happy that I got this for him as he has been cleaning out a lot of trees on our property and now he feels a whole lot safer with this setup. The chaps are a perfect fit for him as he is 6’1″ The helmet comes un-assembled but wasn’t too hard to put together as it does not come with instructions.

If you only use a chainsaw occasionally, these are definitely worth the price. I would rather buy these than pay 2k for an emergency room visit. It will not protect you from stupidity. It will protect you from that one time you inadvertently touch your leg with the saw.The face shield screen really keeps the chips out of my eyes and protects my expensive glasses. The whole helmet, shield, and muffs protect my head when I walk through brush that normally would whip my face and ears.Let’s hope I never need the chaps but if I do, they will shred instead of my leg.

I have NOT needed their capabilities yet (knock on wood) and can not attest to their abilities to prevent ugly gashes in human flesh from chainsaw use! That said, I cut up a couple cords of firewood for my sister in Oregon and cut down/up several trees on my property in Alaska and the trail leading to it through the R.O.W. And felt comfortable and safer doing so. I left these in Alaska and will likely buy another set for my use in Oregon/Alabama/Nevada when cutting wood in those locations (I move around a lot… and am an outdoorsy/wood heat/wood BBQ kind of guy)…Please be safe, as an OSHA 511 certified Safety Professional, I see that too many of the severe injuries and deaths that happen were all easily preventable, don’t be the negative statistic, accidents happen all the time, they are rarely deadly to people who take the proper precautions.

I got this when I bought a chain saw for obvious safety reasons. I like the extra layer of protection on my legs with the pant protector and the helmet with the sound deadening headphones is excellent! Working around a lot of tree branches/ thorns/ etc. the helmet was very much appreciated for the top of my head as well as my face. Very happy I spent the money on it, well worth it.

I like it . Had a huge tree fall on my porch and after a Hurricane hit here , people charge outrageous prices. I learn pretty much everything online to do it myself. If you want it done right, you have to do it yourself. And safety first !

If you are doing chainsaw work, get a pair of these. I felt stupid the first time I wore them then several people told me their horror stories of taking someone to the hospital with a gash in their legs. This was fairly priced and they seem to be very good quality. The belt will loosen easily so just tuck the end under the belt and you won’t have any issues. Get them, please, or some like them. Be safe, not worth not using them. In fact, I had my saw kickback and come real close to hitting the front protective screen the helmet.

Good value for the equipment. I knew nothing off the shelf would fit, so I bought these, cut sewed and, voila, they work! The helmet works well, too! A moderately heavy branch came down on my head and the helmet provided excellent protection. I cut down a 35 foot tree wearing this outfit. I am going to use a set of suspenders the next time. Due to my body type, I have to keep adjusting the belt.
