10 reviews for Flash Furniture Mid-Back Black Mesh Ergonomic Drafting Chair with Adjustable Foot Ring and Flip-Up Arms

Assembly took about 20 minutes, pretty intuitive and easy. Comfort is moderate but definitely better than working from home at the dinner table or couch. Love that the arm rests move up and down. Worth the value for the price. Agree with other reviews that the foot rest is a little too small in circumference/diameter, because you have to tuck feet underneath the chair to rest on it (rather than it being a 90° angle at your knees). I also love that the height range is so great. I can use it at my bar height table or a normal height desk, depending on which room I’m working in.

I am so THRILLED with this chair!!! I had been contemplating the “Flash Furniture Mid-Back Armless Ribbed Upholstered Leather Conference Chair, White”, but worried the white wouldn’t match my newly refinished desk I worked so hard on. I couldn’t stand the thought of an off white chair clashing with my BRIGHT WHITE desk. I contemplated with their black chair but was so unsure about comfort and too much black in my space. Finding this great silver chair was just the right fit. It blends so nicely with my new nickel hardware and the silver tones on my electronics. Also, my desk is more traditional, so that was another thing I worried about and I felt this chair would look best with my desk.Comfort was another MAIN concern. I knew I wanted an arm less chair because I love getting close to my desk and using my table to rest my arms on. Another GREAT thing about this chair is you can push up the arms, or bring them down. So I have the option of having them when I need them. That’s AWESOME!!! As I sit and write this review they are pushed up.I have to say this is the most comfortable chair I’ve ever had, including the ones I had at my job. I’ve never used one of those fancy high end chairs before so I can’t compare to those. I can only compare to what I’ve had the experience of using and this is by far the most comfortable. I sit for at least 6-8 hours in it since I’m a graphic designer. I also have back lower back problems and I’ve had no discomfort. If I am to say anything negative it is that I didn’t realize the back was going to be constructed of material. I thought it would be like a wire or plastic. My fear is that it can easily snag and if it does, it will continue to make a big HOLE and the back would be useless. I noticed a very small snag in the center of it when we were putting it together. I’m hoping it won’t grow and was thinking of putting some clear nail polish on it to keep it from expanding. I figure if that works on nylons it should have the same effect on the chair. I will update if that does happen if anyone would like to know,My cheapy phone isn’t the best representation of the chair but you can see how well it works with the nickel hardware and silver tones on my electronics if anyone cares about those things as I did ; ) Super happy I bought this chair!!!!

got the chair so I could use it at a work table that I raised using to use as a standing desk using these:https://www.amazon.com/Utopia-Bedding-Premium-Adjustable-Furniture/dp/B073WFCV1L/ref=pd_rhf_ee_s_rp_c_2_4?pd_rd_w=ZhlVH&pf_rd_p=454eda66-575d-4584-9511-fd768a5c8a77&pf_rd_r=M0GKNB8BNDE08YAK8796&pd_rd_r=3d65db47-c61f-49ef-91cf-5bd6f298eec4&pd_rd_wg=CKtu8&pd_rd_i=B073WFCV1L&psc=1I also wanted to be able to use it as a standard desk as well.Does not go as low as I thought but low enough to be at a desk height that is not an uncomfortable sitting position (arms mostly level for me to have my elbows at a right angle while typing.Seat pad is well cushioned, I do not feel the solid area under the pad. The foot rail is sturdy, one of the reason I bought this one is the others’ foot rail all seemed too wimpy for me., and I read that was the case in other chair reviews.went together quite easily, all holes lined up enough to get it together without any severe adjustments. REMEBER leave screws loose until they are all in the holes and not cross threaded, There is a bit of locktite on each one as to not allow them to back out so you will feel a tiny bit of bit bit of resistance but it is tiny, if it feels too much back out and try again. Everything is heavy duty plastic and will bend a tad to adjust the holes as needed, except the base to the seat cushion but the holes in the metal base are slotted enough to make up for the misalignment you get in cheap goods from china . Jiggle the pieces you are putting together to allow you to get the screws in finger tight to ensure no cross-threading, they are fine threads and I get could easily be strippedThere are extra bits of hardware in case you lose a few thing, nice with how these small things always seem to get lost on me.Seat overhang area is padded to very comfortable when you sit back or hang your legs and let them swing.Back lumbar curve sticks out a lot but you can push back on it and it gives (there is NO back tilt and the tilt know on the bottom was a pain to adjust and only tilted the whole seat back ant that raised the front of the pad to an uncomfortable pitch (for me at lease) I tend to sit off the rear of the seat anyway while I am working.Time will tell how ling it lasts and How comfortable it will be for a full day of work. I will update after I have done that.

This chair is well padded. The seat shape is comfortable. The padding on the arms it a luxury. The back mesh with the lumbar curve for support fits so well. I love the lift up arms as I work in a small space, so it is great to move the arms out of the way as needed. I am a smaller person and often office chairs are to large even after adjusting to be just right. I am so happy with this purchase. The chair shipped and delivered quickly. The instructions for assembly are user friendly. The chair was easily assembled in a short time without needing another person to assist. The arms are not adjustable in height; a taller person may not be able to rest their elbows as the arms are lower than would be appropriate for a tall person.I highly recommend this chair. This was a great purchase for me.

I weight 185 lbs! To me it’s a great chair for the money, the grey color and the fabric used looks great. A little stiff to lean back, but the chair will maintain your back straight. I will never purchase another expensive chair ($900) like I did before. I will purchase this same chair again!

This is my first mesh task chair. I’m 6’2″ & 240# and I find the chair a very good fit and comfortable. Compared to my last two $80 to $100 chairs this chair would get 9 stars, compared to our $200+ executive chairs (kitchen chairs) this chair would get three stars. Flash Furniture is the manufacture of my second best task chair ever and also the maker of an $80 chair with the comfort of a five gallon paint can turned upside down.Great style, great comfort and good price

  7. MRhad

We had the hardest time finding chairs that we liked in our city. We went to Office Max and the chairs that were comfortable and had good back support were all too expensive. We took a risk to get these and were very happy with out purchase. They are comfortable with great back support. I would say that they are comparable to the expensive chairs that were at Office Max. We are happy with the color too. I’m short and having the arms flip up allows for me to sit with my legs crossed.

  8. Sherry Buehler

I’ve been working at home for 20 years, sitting at a desk, typing 10-15 hours a day and have a bad back and horrible posture from Ehlers-Danlos. It already feels better after just 3 days using this chair. The back and posture support is amazing. Love, love, love this chair. Best I’ve ever used. My heating/massager fits on it perfect. Tip: Do not tighten the screws all the way when you attach the arms to the back. Leave them loose or you can’t get the seat on. Also, put the seat raising/lowering mechanism on last so all the screws are easy to get to. Otherwise, easy to assemble. Very sturdy chair.

I bought this chair for the hours of sitting I am now doing while I work on my research assignment. Assembly was pretty self-explanatory, and a second pair of hands was definitely needed to hold the pieces together in order to bolt them together. So far I’m happy with the chair, I love that I can use it at both the dining room table and the bar-height kitchen counter. The seat could use some better padding as it starts to feel really hard after about an hour, but the back is really supportive and I love that the armrests can flip up and down. The footrest is the perfect size and so far no issues with it holding up. Overall, I am satisfied with the chair, as are my kids that also use it occasionally when doing their virtual classes.

  10. Nicki Murphy

This chair is exactly what we were looking for due to its range of height adjustment. A regular office chair wasn’t quite high enough and most of the taller chairs wouldn’t adjust down low enough so after much research I found this one. Instructions were clear and not difficult to assemble. The tool kit which was included also stated that it included extra bolts so that you didn’t think you had forgotten to put them in which was nice. This chair is very sturdy as well as comfortable and ergonomically correct. Being able to raise the side arm rests up and leave them up is a nice feature too. I highly recommend this chair.
