It oscillates, it cuts, it is magical! It’s pretty good and very powerful. I cut random stuff with it, and it’s great.I see a few people saying that the cutting blades get stuck. Yes… it’s true! They appear to get stuck and no matter how much I pull, the blade will not release. Do not fear, there’s a very simple solution!!! While the blade release is all the way pull out, gently tap the side of the blade with a metal tool and the blade that seemed to be stuck no matter how hard you pulled on it just falls off like magic!!! YOU’RE WELCOME! Long story on why this happens: the metal cutting blade is being squeezed very hard against the tool’s metal blade-holding surface, the vibrations and the pressure cause the metals to temporarily stick to each other in a process called “wringing”. You can’t pull them apart when this happens, but even a gentle tap with a metal tool creates a powerful shockwave in the metal enough to dislodge the parts. There’s also weird issue with the set-screws on the side coming loose. Put some locktite or something on there so it won’t jiggle loose.I gave it 5 stars for being awesome. It can cut though anything and it barely heats up. I got carbide blade for it, and it just rips through anything without complaining. I would deduct stars for the issues mentioned above, but they’re easily fixable and this much power in this little tool for this cheap is awesome.

Bought this because lousy Harbor Freight ones kept burning up doing tile work. Sought out largest amp motor I could find. This tool is wonderful. Doesn’t ever get warm under load. Would have given it five stars across the chart except the blade quick change lock somewhat tricky to lock in.

I bought this to cut out A/C vents covered by Crown Molding. I tried it on a scrap of 2×4 to get the feel of it and went too it. Three vents were cut out in no time and then tried it to remove old hardened grout that had dried on the edge of the tub. Took it off like puddy without scratching the tub!

I was looking for a multi-tool and was told about a name brand tool that I should check out. I did, but saw some bad reviews and some malfunctions. So, I looked at others and found this one. It was less expensive, had more power and was available for shipment ASAP…….. I am so glad I bought it. I had to cut out a piece of 2×4 that was nailed in by four nails, and this tool cut through those nails like butter. Some complain of the noise, but to me, it isn’t unexpectedly loud. It is easy to maneuver, hold, load and unload. I would recommend this product to anyone who is a “handyman” or “handywoman” around the house.

the 5 degree oscillation angle is perfect for general carpentry. Rigid seems to think the sweet spot is 4.2 but we disagree. I think Enertwist nailed it @ 5 degrees. The he motor is powerful. It’s NOT noisy (despite other reviews though the product may have been updated between then and now), and YES! it fits in the case with the blade still attached.

Item arrived on time and with all parts, as ordered. The product works great so far. Easy to install blade in my opinion; there are small pins on the hub that steady the blade in place. I have used one of the three fast-cut wood blades supplied to cut 4 door jamb moldings to fit 3/4″ hardwood flooring. Took about 30 seconds each, if that. The first time, I used a scrap piece of 3/4″ flooring and laid the blade on top of it as I cut. It was very easy to move around the moldings. After the cut, I realized that I needed additional space, so I recut the jambs after adding a thin piece of cardboard below the scrap hardwood floor piece which allowed me to slice an additional 1/8″ – which it did without splintering. Saved me so much time hand sawing. Have only used the one blade so far. Will try adding photo in the future.

I need to break my review down into two pieces. First, if you don’t own a multi-tool it’s a must have piece of equipment. I’ve been using this for the past week to cut out a bunch of rotted trim boards on my house and honestly there is no other tool out there that does what a multi-tool does. Glad I own one. Second – this Enertwist model has performed flawlessly. It cuts through wood like the proverbial knife through butter. The cutting blades attach easily and securely (love the safety latch so you don’t accidentally pinch your fingers) and the tool feels solid in your hands. I read all the 1 star reviews before I bought it and glad I didn’t let them steer me away from this guy. The only complaint I’d have is the sanding attachment doesn’t work very well – the velcro surface for holding the sanding pads isn’t nearly strong enough so the sandpaper drifts off the pad. Oh well. So don’t buy it if you are looking for a triangular shaped sanding tool, I still give it 5 stars because it’s a fantastic tool at a great price.

Have used for multiple projects around the house. I have about zero wood experience and I was able to put up a built in coat rack. This thing is plug and play. I cut though a pvc fence and 2×4 pine with no problem.Cons: item is difficult to lift the latch to replace attachments. Or maybe I have kitten mittens for hands. Also the item is thick around the part you hold it, making it difficult to hold.
