10 reviews for Drive Medical Toilet Safety Frame

We are a nonprofit organization that assists people with disabilities and seniors to be as independent as they are able, and live at home rather than being institutionalized. These toilet safety frames are one of the assistive technology devices that we provide to make the bathroom safer and more accessible. They are excellent quality, reasonably priced and easy to install. Also easy to remove with no permanent marks or damage. If an older relative or disabled person is going to visit or live with you, this is a reliable and affordable device to add to your bathroom for their safety, independence and convenience.

These handrails were great for my wife after she had an extended stay in hospital complicated by DDD problems. I first removed the existing toilet seat – it was a bit tatty – and replaced it with a nice, new one. After tightening the two seat bolts with the rails under, the rig was ready to go (pardon the pun). If you or someone in your household have a struggle getting up, get one of these.

  3. Good&Bad

Great product, works great however, the instructions are like “worthless” but, it still just takes minutes to put together. Now know that when assembling the rear tubing plastic slip couplings HAVE TO BE REMOVED (you will need a screwdriver to pry them off) then slide the arm support into the lower tube, match up the holes and push the plastic coupling back on each side. The metal toilet connector plate has to have the flange on the toilet bowl side, then place your original toilet seat back on & tighten the plastic mounting screws you previously removed. This is for a 2nd bathroom and this unit seems less wobbly than our other Drive bars. Anyways, they support 300lbs & work great for me 6-1, 240lbs after hip surgery. Hope this helps.

This was great to have during my recuperation of my injury. Easy to install if you have the tools

  5. judy d fraughton

This is a good device. It is strong enough for a big man to use. It is easy to clean and easy to install. It has really been good to have because my husband is able to sit down and get back up without assistance so long as he has this device to use.

  6. Stoneyman1

I have used a similar item but it was not this sturdy and it broke. I almost hit the floor, With this I have no problems. I use it to steady myself when I sit or stand.

  7. CJ

Easy to install. Works great. Good pricing. Fast delivery.

  8. Nikki K

I am about 6′ tall and have standard toilets in my house. I had to be no-weight bearing for a pretty long amount of time following foot wound and later surgeries. The handles make it easier to stand without putting pressure on my foot. It’s very light weight, but sturdy and works great. Great value, and cheaper than buying new taller toilets.

This will probably stay on. Purchased because of a broken femur that has taken about 3 – 4 months. Am able to walk but sometimes there is a day when the area is painful and/or stiff. This helps so much.

  10. Amazon Customer

Love this. Easy to install. I especially like how legs lift slightly to allow me to clean under them. The only problem was the instructions showed one piece arms and mine had 2 piece arms but it was still easy to figure out. Much easier to clean then an insert with handles.
