Bought this after about a week of demo in the two places I just purchased. I was using a cordless and just needed more meat on the stick. This thing came out of the box smoking! I burned through 8 blades in one night and surprised the team the next day with 3 hours of clean up. Wood, no problem. Wood and shingles, no problem. Wood, shingles, and nails, no problem. This thing should have come with a broom and a shovel. No need to go to the gym though, it gets heavy after about an hour. If you need to punish someone, give them this, a box of blades, and a red bull. But be prepared for clean up on aisle 3.

Bought a house with a refrigerator entombed in a remodeled basement. After having the Freon removed I bought this saw and went to town. In 15 minutes I had made short work of this refrigerator with one blade. Could not be more pleased. Easy tool to use, feels safe compared to other types of saws. Highly recommend this Dewalt product.

I have a Dewalt 20 volt sawzall and just bought this 10 amp for the same kind of work. It always seems when the time comes to pull out my 20 volt I will go through the batteries. It is nice to have a back up I decided on the dewalt 10 amp because for my use I didn’t need to go bigger and I knew they have plenty of power. Also. I have other saws from dewalt and I feel there is muscle memory when using toolsIm a DIY-ER but I been using dewalt tools since thev18 volt was popular. When I first got into battery tools dewalt offered more tools than any manufacturer now today there are a lot of choices. I like to stay with the proven. All of dewalt tools that I own I will always give five stars to I like how the engineers look at and study how to build them to suit our use Thanks for reading Mike

I purchased this saw for pruning Crepe Myrtles, the over grown hedges & bushes that just seem to grow too fast. In the past it would take me 2 months to do what I did with this saw is 2 days! I was around power tools all my life but this is the First one I bought for myself. I was always told as a kid to Work Smarter not Harder! This DeWalt Saw checks all the boxes. Its light weight, you can use any brand of blade with it, its so easy to operate and it will rise to any task you need to achieve. I have a little Black & Yellow helper now:)

I had to remove some plants on my property, cutting through several 4-inch diameter roots. Rather than hiring a landscaper, I bought this reciprocating saw and cut through the roots in no time. Save some money and earn myself a new tool. Yeah, I know I can get a cheap hand saw for the job, but that means doing more digging around the roots to make clearance for the hand saw, potentially hurting my already sore back, and I don’t have a new power tool afterwards. The 10 amp motor is plenty powerful for the job. I’m not into demolition, so I won’t be using this all the time and I don’t have to worry about battery life.

I was on the fence about buying this recip. saw versus some of the other similarly priced ones on Amazon, but I’m glad I bought this one. Blade changing is a cinch, all you have to do is lift up a small lever, and this allows the blade to (dis)engage making blade changes really really easy. Sure it takes two hands, but unless you mistakenly cut off your other arm, I don’t think anyone should have a problem changing blades (and I apologize if you only have one hand).Other than that, I’ve been using this to cut up a small tree that fell in the yard, and this thing has simply not quit. I stupidly am cutting up 8″ sections of trunk and thankfully this recip. saw does not know the difference, and keeps on going.

I love this saw! I had an older reciprocating saw that used an Allen head screw to hold the blade in. What a poor design! After each cut you had to stop and tighten down the screw. It was a nightmare and a waste of time. A really well-known brand name too. This Dewalt reciprocating saw has an easy latch the locks down on the blade and holds it tight. I’ve been chopping up tree limbs and an old gazebo that received damage during a recent ice storm and this reciprocating saw powers through everything.

Having been a professional carpenter for 42 years, I have a lot of experience with power tools. What I like about Dewalt tools is that they have the power and dependability for professionals, but are comfortable for homeowners to use easily. This saw is a good example. It is light enough for someone without a lot of experience to use comfortably, and yet I have used this model for many years in my career. It has never let me down. There were rare occasions that I might have wanted a more powerful saw, but 99% of the time this saw was plenty strong. It is the perfect sawzall for pruning.I love the easy way to change blades! I would recommend this saw for anyone looking for a dependable tool for most jobs.

  9. The Big Cat

Good saw for light / medium use in yard / shop. I use mainly for small tree / palm frond trimming in FL. Easy to change blade, just flip the lever. Used the PORTER-CABLE PC760R 9-Inch Pruning Reciprocating Saw Blades…great combo. Price is right for this item too! I have a few Dewalt products (air compressor, etc.) that are over 10 years old and they work fine.
