A long long time ago in a galaxy we call Mily Way, I decided that Dewalt was the tool for me. I have been happy with my choice for an affordable, solid, dependable, hard working tool set for all my homestead building needs. This being my most recent addition to the family of 20 volt XR has made me one heck of a happy person. I was having issues deconstructing nailed boards and finally came to the conclusion it was time for a real Sawzall vs the little 12 volt that has served me for years. Hey, SIZE MATTERS!!! 😉 What was taking me hours to do before is now done in minutes. Woo and a Hooo!

I bought the compact 20v instead of the 60v full-size because I need to get into tight spaces, but there’s nothing my corded recip saw can do that this can’t. It’s a beast in a small package. 5ah battery will easily tackle any home project.Between brushless motors, variable voltage, and the latest in rechargeable batteries, combined with the long-term commitment of a DIY homeowner, it doesn’t make sense to buy anything less. I am far more likely to just grab the tools and get started when you eliminate the need for power cords. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I hate extension cords. Pull the trigger (nothing happens), unplug the other tool, plug in the tool you want to use, pull the trigger again. Add multitap. Trip breaker. Repeat ad infinitum.

I bought it to cut down a dead tree in my back yard and unpacked it the moment it came. I used 4mah battery for the first run and managed to cut main branches and few other cuts before the battery died out. It was more than enough for me because I didn’t want my hands to hurt from the vibration. The next day I finished the job.It is unexpectedly very powerful, but way more compact than my older saws. For longer/tougher jobs you probably want to use Flexvolt 60V 6mah battery, but only if it is your daily job or if you are sure that your hand bones and cartilages can handle a lot of strong vibration. 4mah battery sets a proper limit on how much an amateur should use the saw as far as I see it.DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE the 4 position blade lock. The horizontal position is not only to make it easier to cut in some cases, but also it is located very close to the edge and allows you to cut very close to the wall or other obstacles.

I’m used to my old 18v sawzall. It survived hundreds of jobs… water submersion, dust, sand, and everything I could throw at it. I’m not being very nice to this new one either. It cuts so much faster, and the battery lasts forever! I love how small it is. I can fit it between studs and rafters. So handy! Dewalt is the best!

It’s heavy, it’s loud, it vibrates like a freight train, and it has an appetite for batteries like no other Dewalt tool I own. Still, it’s a beast in a compact package. Four-way blade positioning, easy tool-free blade changes, full length stroke and plenty of power to eat through anything I’ve thrown at it. For me, I can use it with one hand, but after a few one-handed cuts it starts dragging my arm down. I suppose someone with more shoulder strength wouldn’t notice, but for me, a 5 pound saw with a pound and a half battery gets tiring with one hand cuts.Despite the cons I mentioned above, I love this saw and do not regret this purchase.

The DCS367 Bare tool is a wonderful piece of equipment to have for a lot of reasons. I bought this to help clear out a plot of land that is overgrown with small trees, saplings and your garden variety chest high weeds.I use dewalts 12 inch wood cutting blades and it fairly easily passes through any size piece within the usable part of the blade. For small trees and large bushes this is safer to me than using a chain saw.I use a 20v 5ah battery with this and I’m able to cut up decent size trees (1 or 2) the size of the one in the picture with one charge. Love this saw!

Had this for awhile now and have only used it for yardwork. I bought a 9″ Porter Cable pruning blade and used a 4 amp flexvolt battery from my circular saw. I trimmed a lot of bush branches and smaller tree limbs at my daughter’s house then the next weekend did the same at my sister’s house. I used the same battery and it still had plenty of power left according to the LED battery checker. Very pleased.

While it is loud, it is also powerful and gets the job done. My old reciprocating saw required blade tightening with a hex key. This saw not only adjusts to allow vertical or horizontal positioning of the blade, but has what I’d call a ‘grab and lock’ system that requires no tools. And it uses the standard Dewalt battery, so I don’t have to buy anything new since I already own a Dewalt cordless drill. I’m happy!
