We chose the satin, stainless steel doorknob with lock/key. Item took about 20 minutes to install and was fairly intuitive. It works exactly as expected and feels solid. For a budget item, it is very sturdy with a great aesthetic. Similar door knobs at the box stores were much more expensive and didn’t seem to be of any superior quality. The higher quality items that they had were almost triple the price. For any budget-conscious buyer, this is a no-brainer. Highly recommended.

I installed this key lock on my office door because I got tired of kids opening my door with a universal key.Install was quick and easy with 2 keys. I would recommend lubricating with a spray oil.I didn’t buy this for a strong security solution I simply wanted a unique key. It will keep the honest people out and the snoopers.

A few years ago my sil destroyed a door knob when my grandson locked himself in a room. It had a hole in front to unlock it but that would have required common sense. Never replaced it because I seldom use that room. Last week I looked at locks and picked this one. I had to use my dremel to get the old one out because he used something to beat it to death. Then it took less than 5 minutes to install this one. Love the lock ! Came back and ordered enough for my other interior doors

This Door Knob lock does the job perfectly for the cheapest price I have seen so far in locks. At first I looked at the price of the knob and thought it was not going to do anything, but after i bought the knob and installed it i realized that i had no need to worry. If you are like me that has nosy family members, or just want to feel that the items in your room are secure then you should definitely buy this entry lock. I will be more specific about the Pros and Cons:Pros: The Door Knob comes with two keys and can also be re-keyed. The Door Knob has two black sleeves so that when you install it on a door, you will know where to connect the two sides of the knob. The Door Knob comes in the mail well packaged with the brands logo on it. The Door Knob (in my view and understanding) is universal and can fit almost all door types. When the Door is closed, it fits into the latch without any jiggle.Cons: The instructions that come with the knob are detailed but can be confusing. To some people, the Door Knob might seem small after you install it. At first, when you use the key to unlock the door after installation it might give some resistance. But goes away after a while. This Entry Knob deserves the 5 stars, and I would definitely buy again.

Though it sounds like some other people have bad experiences, this was completely trouble-free. If you’ve ever ever replaced even one door lock, this one is so intuitive you don’t even need the instructions. It works perfectly. It took about fifteen minutes to replace the old doorknob with the new lock, on idle. . .I will replace all the upstairs doorknobs with this model. Be aware that the default is “Satin Stainless,” which is fine with me, but if you are trying to match, say, chrome or bright chrome doorknobs you will need to specify.I’m sorry for the first reviewer who couldn’t lock her door for a little privacy from her kid! So familiar. . .Just not in this case here.

Dear mother and brother, I’m tired of you two constantly barging in my room all the time. I’m an adult. I gave you, brother, the larger room with a lock on the door and since then you both have been constantly barging in my room in the middle of the night or going in there to turn my smart lights red when you know I’m colourblind.let’s see who gets the last laugh now, I have a lock on my door. Haha!

There isn’t much to say other than the door knob indeed works. Installation was straight forward. Anyone with a basic toolbox at home should be able to perform the installation (I have attached pictures of my own installationsThe only thing I can say off the top of my mind is to measure the latch assembly that will go in the door knob whole. Another thing to make note is the latch assemble of this unit also extends. I, unfortunately, didn’t measure the length when the latch is fully extended, but when it is not extended, it measures right at 3 inches, just like the old latchFor the price and locking feature this gives, it’s a good value

This is so smooth and easy to open I wish I’d gotten it 10 years ago. At 80 years old (and dealing with post polio fatigue) my hands aren’t as strong as they used to be. This door knob is fabulous – just a very light grip and a slight effort to turn it just a little bit and the door pops right open. Soooo much better than the old knob that I had to fight with. Yep… should’a got this doorknob 10 years ago.

I switched some doorknobs around in my place because my son kept locking himself in the bathroom and screaming, but the oldest was upset not having a lock on their room as siblings kept busting in to bug them. In changing it, however, I got the lock-less knob stuck in the door and put the latch backwards so it never actually closed. After getting increasingly annoyed with the nosy cats and needy dog busting into the bathroom like the Kool-aid man, I went ahead and got this knob (it matches the nicer doorknobs here anyways!).This was really easy to install, even with my ability to so severely mis-install a doorknob it requires several pairs of pliers to rip it piece by piece from the door. I had it in and working quickly with just my cordless drill. With such an obvious knob, my son hasn’t locked himself in a single time. Even if he did, the twist style would make it easy enough to rescue him. Best of all, as it latches properly I can pee without the animals playing Koolaid Man. May even buy another one because my bedroom door doesn’t latch as easily as I’d like – it’s kind of awkward when you’ve got a man over, shut the animals out of the bedroom, and suddenly 2 cats are jumping on the bed, the dog is staring at you, and the 3rd cat is snoring on the seat by the bed.Honestly the only downside is that it shows how ugly my poor old door is.

I got 6 of the satin stainless dummy knobs to replace the crappy wooden ones on my crappy builders quality, hollow-core bifold doors that were too small to operate the doors easily, wete all coming loose, and keft finger smudges all arond them on the doors. Did I mention that they were crappy doors? Well, these knobs did the trick perfectly. They look great, and make it a lot easier to operate the doors, without fingers having to come in contact with the surface of the door and smudging it up. I did have to get different #8 screws, nuts and fender flat washers to install them through my crappy builders quality hollow-core doors, but the installation was a breeze.
