We read a lot of reviews, and are so glad we decided on this pruning saw. We just finished trimming about 8 palm trees, some were pretty high, see the photos. We were able to reach them without a ladder. At the longest extension, the blade is a little wobbly, but it was light and did a great job. The extensions lock in really sturdy with latches you can secure with your thumb. And the blade was easy to install to the pole and it stayed secure during use. We highly recommend!!! Hope we can find replacement blades because we have a whole other area we were to do now that we saw how easy this was to use. Saved us hundreds in tree trimming, for sure. Do not hesitate on this purchase!!

This is a great value saw with outstanding quality. I was impressed with how sharp it was when I got it, and I put it to use immediately. I started with 6 tall palm trees. I included a picture of the trees and the huge pile of palm fronds I cut using this saw. Was the perfect length and very sharp. Not a single issue cutting through the fronds and old coconut branches. The teeth remained sharp and worked better than expected.I then tried on side 3 inch diameter oak branches, and again worked beautifully. Within 10 strokes, the saw blade sliced right through. Excellent product and I will continue to recommend. Well done!

I have used my lightweight BuyPlus pole multiple times at full extended length to cut oak tree branches with much success. Safe operation is key: 1. Hard hat, Safety glasses, gloves, long sleeve shirt and long pants, and hiking boots 2. Plan on 30-45 minute sessions to avoid operating when tiring. 3. Clear fallen tree limbs away from feet every cut. 4. Use safety cones around sidewalks. 5. Do not operate in windy or rainy conditions 6. Plan your cuts. 7. Be patient when using at full extended length. 8. Use a protective cover over HVAC units, pool equipment, and shrubbery. Have cut 20-30 cubic yards operating and maintaining this manual pole saw safely. I am very satisfied with operational characteristics and performance.. Added an adapter to paint more than a dozen roof vents showing hail damaged.

  4. Jules

My husband is laid up and worrying about not being able to get out a ladder and prune off some palm fronds. I bought this saw and just went out and pruned them from the ground. Took about 15 minutes to get 8 fronds from one tree. Only had to use one extension to reach up since the saw blade itself adds more than a foot to the length. So easy to use. Have to be a little careful to start the cut with such a long blade but cuts like butter when you get it started. I am a 72 year old woman and find this very easy to use. The pool itself is the sturdiest I have seen. Needless to say my husband was stunned!

I’ve been trying to figure out how to cut some branches on a tree that are between 15-20 ft above the ground on a prominent tree in my front yard. I toyed around with the idea of renting a lift bucket, but couldn’t justify the cost. A ladder is not easy to set for hand saw work in this location. On a whim I thought I would check Amazon to see if there were any “pole saw” type things. When I saw this one, I figured for $19 I couldn’t go too wrong.Wow was I surprised! This thing far surpassed my expectations! I figured I would be fighting with each branch to cut them, and maybe stretch it out over a few days to make it less painful. When I received it I unpackaged it, stuck it on the end of an extension pole, and started cutting. I had ALL the branches cut (maybe 15 of them) within 30 minutes! It was so much fun that I started looking for other stuff to cut up high!!Certainly solved my problem!!! Highly recommend!

I got the Doca Pole last year and also the Doca Pole pole saw attachment so that I could maintain some really tall palm trees. The Doca Pole saw attachment was a little flimsy and make it difficult to actually saw through the dead palm fronds. I decided to look for an alternative and decide to take a chance on this one. This blade is definitely a little thicker than my Doca Pole branded one, and has less “Flex” in it, so it made it much easier to saw through the palm fronds. I would highly recommend this. I am thinking of buying another one to have a spare in case the blade gets dull.

  7. Aaron

I wanted a pruning saw that I could attach to my 12′ Mr Long Arm fiberglass extension pole to trim some branches and this does the job very well. Fits as expected on a standard extension pole thread and stayed tight throughout the time I was using it. The handle is pretty cheap feeling but the blade is nice and sharp so I was able to trim 1-1/2″ persimmon branches (pretty soft wood) relatively quickly without needing to add much force on the cut. I think it’s a good value and I’d expect it to last many seasons.

  8. Knipple S.

For anyone who has ever trimmed back tree branches or removed dead branches from a tree, they would know how amazing this product is. I have a ‘saw on a stick’, but often those higher branches will cut through to ‘just about to come off’ and then bind up, still hanging on by a little bit. Then there is the dangerous acts trying to get that last little bit to give. No longer, this thing just saws right through that, in fact, it’s actually sharp enough and capable of taking that whole branch without using the saw if one wanted to. Built well, and good cost. A great tool to just have around, one you don’t think you’d ever need, but when you do, you’ll be very pleased you have it.

Works great on my 24 ft pole. The blade is sharp, but at full length and with shaft flex, cutting requires short strokes and can take a few minutes to get through a 3-in limb. The tool includes a screw to attach to pole to secure. Especially important if you cut at too much of a vertical angle and the limb binds the blade. As you can see by my pictures, my pole has no through hole and I chose not to make one. There is another spot that could accept a screw on the tool, 90-deg from the others, but its not threaded. Instead, I took it easy on the strokes and cut from the top to avoid binding, standing further back from tree and extending pole. Worked great and did not come loose. I see no immediate risk of leaving the blade in the tree. Now I’m thinking about how I’ll get those branches above 30-ft. Will sleep on that problem. Thanks so much for this tool solution.

Granted, I have not made a side-by-side comparison to another product. But, I am really impressed with the quality of this product. It is exactly what I needed. The mechanism for extending the pole is easy to use and it works. The sturdiness of the pole relative to it’s weight is impressive. I took it out of the box and was so impressed I attached the saw and went right out an cut a 3 inch eucalyptus branch overhanging a specimen pepper tree, using the full 20 feet of extension with my feet on the ground. The weight and flex of the pole kept enough pressure on the saw blade that very little effort was needed to bring the branch down. The only suggestion I have is that a quick realest like the ones that allow extensions to be pulled from the tube would be nice too have when removing the saw to finish cutting the branch I felled into smaller pieces.
