I bought this product for my new home because I was looking for a way to tie my under cabinet lights into my smart home system. These lights were one of the only Amazon Alexa compatible bar lights that I found.. so I gave it a go. These are incredibly easy to install. I went for a really clean look so I did have to so a tiny bit of drilling, but you can install the entire system with no tools at all. After receiving the product, I was having an issue with one of the three lights in the system. The one light seemed to be cycling on a different pattern when trying to change the color temperature (ie: one light was warm while the other two were on daylight) I sent in a query through GoodSiQ’s page and received a personal call from a product developer who walked me through some trouble-shooting. I had bought a Black + Decker extender, and just needed to add a small jumper (provided) to reverse the circuit. Absolutely the best customer service I have received on an Amazon purchase. As for the lights:I do not use the motion sensor capabilities so I can’t speak to how well they work. However, the smart home and voice capabilities have been outstanding. The lights are very bright and provide a really clean look to the counter space. Set-up is a breeze, you can go right through the alexa app and the barcode scanning makes it even faster.I highly recommend these lights to anyone looking for a sleek and minimal, yet powerful solution to under cabinet lighting.

I built my home about 20 years ago, and ever since I first moved in I dreamed about having under-cabinet lighting installed in my kitchen. But, the layout of the kitchen, and the expense of bringing a contractor in stopped me.Out of curiosity, we ordered these lights as an experiment and “proof of concept”, thinking that if we liked the idea, we’d go to the expense of professionally installed lighting. Our plans changed almost immediately upon installing these. These lights are absolutely what I dreamed of having all those years ago, with the added benefit that they integrate perfectly with Smart Life and Alexa! I now have an automated schedule for my kitchen that turns them on/off and sets relative brightness at certain times of the day. We loved them so much, we ordered 2 additional sets to complete our kitchen installation.Needless to say, I will not be going through the expense of professionally installed lighting because these under-cabinet lights made that completely unnecessary. As you can tell, I highly recommend them. There is really only one negative I can think of, and depending on how you expect to use the lights, it may not be a negative at all. The motion detection is extremely weak. You have to be within inches of the detector for it to pick you up. In my specific case, I don’t care very much about the motion detection feature, so this doesn’t bother me in the least.

This kit is not advertised as being compatible with Google Home/Assistant but I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised that it was. Unfortunately, it is not. There are no Black and Decker products that are compatible with Google Home as of the time of my review. Still, it works great with Alexa and even as a standalone product without smart home control. There is a small main controller that has a motion sensor, a button that controls the color temperature (4 settings from cold white to warm white), and a button that controls the brightness and turns the lights on/off manually. The main controller can be placed at the end of the six linked lights, or somewhere in the middle thanks to its two connections which means you can have some lights to the left and some to the right of the main controller… a nice touch.Installation was easy. It even comes with a cardboard spacer to help you place all lights in the same position on all cabinets. Setup with Alexa was equally easy, just scan a QR code in the Alexa app and you’re done. Alexa control works as expected. For the most part, these lights are a great solution. If only they were compatible with Google, too! Still, I give it 5 stars since it works as advertised.

I have a hard time seeing colors as they are without full light. Probably a side effect of working with blue light for too many years. To assist with assembling outfits every day, I rely on a lamp with light that goes directly over the clothes as they hang. Although not a pretty setup given the atrociously short cables that were included, I’m still very pleased with my ability to see clothes in my closet. In fact, the light that this black and decker provides is about three times stronger (brighter) than the one I had previously. I couldn’t be more ecstatic!I imagine this would be great in a shed or small, closed off area. You can control it by hooking it up to Alexa, and it’s not a skill, which means if you have a hard time pairing your black and decker through the WiFi route, you can actually add the lights manually by scanning the barcode when using the Alexa app via Add Device. That means no secondary app or skill to install or enable just to hook this guy up to the rest of your smart house.I’m extremely happy with the mounting options. You can use the included and pre-installed 3M tape and also provide additional support via hardware as well. The 3M tape worked best for my situation but YMMV.Pretty solid choice in lighting options. I hope it doesn’t break for a few years because I absolutely love the thing (minus the cable issue – please make the connecting cables longer!).

I was looking for lights for my new cabinets that could be controlled by Alexa and were easy to install and could get bright. I read a lot of reviews and decided to try these even though they are quite a bit more expensive then others on the market. I am so glad I did. I ended up using three 6 packs of lights. I used one 6 pack for under my cabinets. One six pack for the top and wine rack. And 4 of 6 lights for over our refrigerator. The cables that came with the lights were fine for under cabinet and over the fridge, but I had to buy longer cables for over the cabinets since I was skipping every other one (see the photos I posted. Sorry for the mess). Luckily they sell 108 inch cables individually for about twelve dollars each. 1 of the 6 cables I ordered came in a very retail looking hard plastic box that only came with a female to female connector. But the other 5 came in bags and had a bunch of different connectors and mounts included. Hopefully for future buyers that is what they are going to sell from now on.I set up each light before I mounted them in my Alexa app. I named them where they were located (see photos) and then put them in a group. Now all we have to do to turn them all on, off or dim them is say “Alexa, turn on the lights.” Or “Alexa, turn the lights to 30%”. Really, really slick and very easy to set up.This ended up being perfect for what I needed and I’m happy I spent the extra money to get these lights.

This was so simple to install, yet it has made all the difference in making the kitchen look modern. Make sure you clean under the cabinets first to ensure the lights adhere securely. I had to do some drilling to run the cords through a couple of cabinets up and over the sink to the other side, but the entire work time was no more than an hour. The cords come in various lengths to make sure you get it right, and they even have adapters to connect cords to each other to give you some extra length. Syncing to Alexa was simple, and the commands works perfectly. Being able to adjust light temperature and brightness ensures you get the exact lighting quality you want at either the press of a button or the command of your voice. This has made the kitchen much more beautiful and easy to work in.

THIS IS AWESOME!!!Three light bars that are super bright look super sexy under your cabinets!Really really easy to set up with tons of options. All of it uses strong 3M adhesive to stick under the cabinet. The kit comes with multiple length cords abs lots of cable clips so you can run wires. Use what you want, the rest is extra (see pic of all the extra parts I have). Its intended to be flexible too so you can chain the lights on either side of the control…2 on 1 side, 3 on the other or whatever works.Installation guide helps you with spacing and lots of options for how you might run cables.Once installed its nice and bright… and dimmable! Can also do white or warm. All of it can be controlled with the control box and motion but it does pair with alexa pretty easily. That was the most complicated part for me and only because I had to figure out that I needed to unplug and replug it in to get it into pairing mode.Very responsive, very nice looking! Pardon my spice mess, but pic included of my new cabinet lights!

We have been looking at various options for under cabinet lighting for a while and not seemed to find a system that fit our needs – which where pretty basic. We wanted an expandable system that was plug-and-play, dimmable, and had the ability to change the color temperature. The system also had to use a standard wall plug and have an external switch for power off and on.We ran across the Black and Decker 3-Cabinet Smart LED lighting kit which contained all the features we needed plus the ability to tie into Internet Of Things (IOT; Alexa, etc.).Installing the lights was a snap – with pre-printed template to help set up the location from the front edge of the cabinet to mount the lights. The kit included all the necessary mounting hardware, clips, screws, 3M mounting tape, interconnecting plug wires, etc.Once installed – it was easy to use, just wave your hand under the controller (mounted under the cabinet with the lights) and the lights come on/off. You have to be within a few inches or so to turn off or on the lights with your hand. You can also adjust the light temp and brightness by holding down thelighting control button. The lighting output is consistent and well diffused. The lights themselves are mounted in an aluminum housing that helps protect the internal lighting systems and provides a secure mounting point when mounting them to the cabinet. You can purchase longer cables if needed – out to 108” inches to get around vent fans and wall mounted microwaves.Setting up the system to work with IOT was a snap – much like joining a Bluetooth device to your phone. Once paired up to the system, Alexa can control the functions the are listed above.Alex can batch multiple controllers (there all have unique ID’s) into one grouping – like Kitchen Cabinet Lights. I liked the tester system so much, I bought a second kit, each is named for their respective areas, batched in a group for the Kitchen Cabinet Lights. You can walking into the kitchen and tell Alexa (or Google) you want to enable All or specific groups of lights. You can change the color temp, intensity, etc. If you are not into the IOT, the physical controller works great and can handle up to 6 lights (total). If you are looking for a SMART, scalable, multi-point controllable under cabinet lighting system for your home, office, or shop, the B&D 3-Cabinet Smart LED Lighting Kit should be on your list of systems to investigate.

I got these to go underneath our kitchen cabinets. The kit comes with different lengths of cables as well as cable connectors. I was able to quickly connect the lights to Wi-Fi, install the app and setup Alexa. The light is easy to turn and off with Alexa, just try to remember all the different light settings (bright, warm, etc.) so you can change it to your desired brightness when turning them on. The hand control took some getting used to. You have to put your hand under the sensor for a few seconds before it switches on. I am guessing this is to prevent the lights from going on and off if something quickly breezes underneath. We loved these so much, and had one extra strip, that we ordered an extension cable to run through our pantry so we could install the last strip under our one lone cabinet. These would make any kitchen look fantastic! I highly recommend.

These lights were easy to install. The clips that hold these lights in place are mounted with double sided sticky tape, and/or screws. The wire they supply clicks into both the lights and the controller very easily. They supplied two wires that about 2 feet long, and several that are about 3 or 4 inches long and one that is about 6 inches long. They also supply a connector to join two wires should I need it (and I did need it). The power cord is plenty long to reach my power outlet that is above my cabinets to the controller that I mounted under my cabinets. The Alexa integration feature works well. I can command the lights turn on/off with my voice, and even change the color white these lights throw off. I can also dim or brighten the lights with my voice. All controls are also available in the Alexa app.Motion detection is kinda weak. I have to wave my hand so close to the controller…almost touching it to get it to sense motion. But it is easier to just use my voice, or the power button on the controller. I am not taking a star for this as I have cats and decent motion sensing would cause my lights to be turned on and off constantly, so I really don’t want it.These lights emit a good amount of light, I don’t need to use them at 100% brightness.Overall, I am very happy with these lights. I give them 5 stars.
