The quality of the light rivals the halogens I had installed previously. I did a custom install to completely hide the wires. The power and interconnect wires are high quality 22 gauge stranded making the splices easy and durable. Note the interconnect is three wires. I also found out that the dinning and on/off capability is propagated through the entire system. Not being documented, I incorrectly assumed the light with the control button had to be upstream of all the others. The light with the control button and the touch-less control can be anywhere in the chain. The only bad thing I can say is that the interconnect connector to the lights does not lock into the light, the wire needs to be installed such that the connector goes strait into the light and is well secured, otherwise the slightest incidental contact will cause it to unplug, bringing every light in the chain down. The three light kit does not come with the 108″ or 72″ interconnect to jump over a stove.

The before and after pics pretty much speak for themselves (depending on which order Amazon posts them for you) as to what I was dealing with. These are a game changer. Easy to install, very bright, and I haven’t heard them make a peep yet as far as any audible humming. I saw a lot of complaints about that and I’m glad I ignored it. The motion sensor maybe kinda does leave a bit to be desired but honestly it’s no trouble for me to wave these on due to strategic placement of the sensor just to the right of the sink and above the paper towels. I didn’t expect them to magically come on when I entered the room, because I have a very basic and common knowledge understanding of how that would work if that’s what you DID want. And you will not get that for $40 something dollars ok. They work wonderfully. And for the price? I have absolutely zero negative feedback. I did need to do some drilling to span the cabinet to sink space, but that was not a big deal either. The adhesive on the tabs that help route the wires is superbly strong.

Sufficiently bright to please my wife – far brighter than the native under microwave stove top light or any replacements for the bulb that I could find. Installed on bottom of microwave above stove. Motion detector acts rather like a proximity detector: just put fingers within an inch or so of the “motion switch” for a second or two, and the light will turn on or off. Various hand motions or gestures don’t seem to have any affect, so don’t bother with them. The sensors just sense a hand or finger within an inch or two. Think of pushing an invisible button switch. Works great. No need to touch a switch with wet or greasy hands. The clips to mount the light strips are well designed and fit perfectly. The sticky tape on them is very aggressive – no need for screws when mounting to clean metal or enamel finish. The screws provided are for wood, and didn’t work with steel a 1/16″ pilot hole. No problem – didn’t need the screws, and best not to drill holes of any size into the microwave cabinet anyway.

These are a great touch since it’s so dark under the cabinets in my kitchen. The install was very easy. My only complaint is the misleading description. I set out for “dusk to dawn” under mount cabinet lighting and bought these but they do not gave this feature. It has a 3 hr timer or a motion sensor. I will have to go and buy a dusk to dawn timer. Still a great product though.

The media could not be loaded. What I really wanted was something that would turn the light on when the pantry door opened and off when it closed. The motion sensor acts more like a photocell than a motion sensor. If something is within 2″ of the sensor, the lights toggle (off->on or on->off). When the something moves away, the lights do not change. When the something comes back within that 2″ range, it toggles. When the something moves away, the lights do not change. What would be possible is to create a something that has a hole in it and that will definitely work — except — the sensor is relatively slow so the door would have to be opened and closed fairly slowly to make sure it worked. Or the something could be really big which probably defeats the entire point of the exercise! I may play with this.Loved the double sided tape on everything. Just stuck stuff where it needed to be and put in a screw to give it a forever home. Yes, you’ll need a smallish screwdriver ideally with a magnetic tip.One thing to remember is that one of the light bars will have an on/off push button switch you’ll want to mount that somewhere convenient. I forgot and had to take one down and move it. No big problem but it’s easier to get it right the first time (not that I’ve ever done that, of course.)There is a 3 hour timer which may be more useful than I thought since the way we’ll probably wind up using it is to turn it on and let it turn itself off automagically.

Bought two kits for our kitchen. Installation is very easy and plenty of installation hardware was included. I like the flexibility of orientation of the switch and power along the light chain, which can be located an the end or between any lights. When enabled, the timer keeps the lights on for 3 hours.Yes the motion sensor is only a touchless switch and not meant to activate as soon as you enter the room, but that is clearly noted in the product description.I’m happy with this purchase.

This kit comes with the three light wands (best value) and plenty of guides and connecting cables. Everything is of good quality and the cables are easy to route and plug in. The lights are a nice temperature (K) and bright enough to light up my sink and countertop area.I have not figured out how to use the motion detection, and have wondered if it’s even there. Given they are LED I usually leave them on full time or use the easy to use square on/off button.

I love how much lighting these add to my workspace in my kitchen. My friend just installed a different brand of lights under her counters & she only has 3 brightness settings & hers were more expensive. These were really easy to install. We did have to purchase a.108″ jumper wire (can also be ordered from Amazon) to attach one under the cabinet on the other side of the sink. So if you plan to connect the lights on opposite sides of an appliance, you might consider ordering the jumper wire at the same time. These lights make such a difference in our kitchen – from full brightness all the way to night light level.

I am a retired engineer that spent many years building one off and custom machines. So I know a solid design when I see one (very rare).BD did a good job with these. They are price and quality competitive.Do not know about reliability, have only had in operation for month. To date they have met all expectations. The “motion detection” is a misnomer, the units have proximity detection. When you put your hand near (~ 2″ or 3″) the detector it turns on/off, has nothing to do with motion.
