About this item Exactly What You Need for a Rescue: When you need to rescue someone overboard, the intensity of the situation and the emotions involved can make it hard to think. That’s why it’s important to travel prepared. With the Best Marine water rescue throw bag, you have an effective emergency tool you can use at a moment’s notice. The bright orange color makes it easily visible, and the included 70-foot marine rope is the perfect length to throw far distances. Optimal Design and Performance: Our 12-inch by 5-inch rescue bag is built to perform. When you’re in an emergency, you can’t afford a bad throw. The bag weighs 1.5 pounds, which is an ideal weight for making accurate throws. It contains a foam insert that keeps it afloat so your target can grab onto it while you reel them in. From the construction to the function, these heavy-duty nylon bags are built to last. Quick and Easy to Operate: In an emergency, you need a throw bag that’s easy to operate. Best Marine has you covered. Attach the rope loop to your wrist or your watercraft, then hold the bag with the top handle (or like a football) and throw it to your target. The rope will unravel as it travels. Once the target grabs the bag, slowly pull them in. After a rescue, dry the rope and bag before storing it away. Convenient to Repack and Reuse: A throw bag that can only be used once isn’t very functional. Thankfully, we designed a bag that’s easy to reuse. Just coil the 70-foot rope starting with the bottom part attached to the bag and ending at the top of the rope with the loop. You’ll want to loosely stuff the bag. No twisting or tying. You want the rope to easily eject as you throw it to a target. Fasten the drawstring closure on the bag to secure the rope. Travel Prepared for Emergencies: When you’re out on the water, whether it’s kayaking, canoeing, sailing, or swimming, there aren’t always lifeguards around in case of an emergency. Don’t allow what’s supposed to be a relaxing, fun getaway turn into a preventable nightmare. There’s nothing like having the peace of mind to know that if someone fell overboard, you have the equipment necessary to rescue them.

I took it out and tried it out. It worked well. Because of the weight of it, you can throw it a long way.

When watching the news and seeing people get caught in riptides and drowning, I decided to purchase this to keep with us at the beach since there are no lifeguards at our beach. I feel better knowing I have something in my beach bag that could help and not run all the way back to the condo for help.

  3. Bill

Seems ok quality. Rope unravels quickly and fully out of the bag. Opening of the bag is a little tight to restuff but can be done. Bag has good weight for throwing. I keep one in my car, and one on my four wheeler, will be buying another to keep on the shore of our river front camper.

Great Product! 70’ in a small easy to see quick drying bag. Tugged and pulled on seems during use and everything stayed where it should. So far this is the best bang for your dollar I’ve found yet.

  5. Tony

I like this product for the storage bag making the rope tangle free. I am actually using it on the throw ring on my boat since the line I had attached to it before would always tangle when thrown. Rather than throwing the floating bag to a “man overboard” I hold the loop on the bottom of the bag and have the other end tied to the throw ring. The floating throw ring gives the person something to hold and float on.

  6. Who knows

Bought this for a lake function we were having. Wanted to be sure that we had it on shore just in case. I didn’t think we’d need it and we didn’t, but it was nice to have around.I’m impressed with how easy it is to throw. The quality is quite good for the price. I cannot comment on the durability yet, but it seems well built. I would buy it again.

This is a great throw bag well-comparable to others priced much higher. Features include superior materials, excellent seller service, and multiple uses from a single piece of equipment. This is one of those rare purchases that ensures both peace-of-mind and utility for years to come; anyone who frequents water at all ought to have one of these in every trunk space or truck tool bag.

  8. jennifer

I purchased this and a canister to take on our beach vacation after seeing so much tragedy on the news that was happening this year in the ocean. Thankfully no one needed either of my safety items, but it gave me peace of mind.

  9. J Hunt

Throws just fine, dry or wet. Rope floats too.Not a rescuer or whitewater paddler, so I’m not familiar with professional equipment or requirements, but it has been strong enough pulling my kayak to shore, etc.
