I am so glad I spent the money on this. I pulled up all my trim to put new floors in. I wanted to keep the same trim, so I needed to pull out a bunch of nails. This saves a ridiculous amount of time and effort.

I purchased this tool to cut a new watch stem that need to be adjusted in size for a specific watch. The tool makes an easy and perfect cut on the stem which allows easy screwing into the watch crown. Watch stems are usually made of strong stainless steel and this tool worked better than expected. Recommended.

These “nail puller/end cutters” are nicely made. The rubber handles are fit well to the tool. They are solid and the jaws are well machined. They meet well with no offset and the hinge is smooth with no binding. The casting is clean without pock marks or bumps. They work well for pulling nails if the nail head is “proud” of the wood. They are not going to reach down into the wood for the nail head without doing a fair amount of damage to the surface of the wood, but, if you can get a grip on the head of the nail, these will allow you to make short work of pulling a common nail. The cutting edge is sharp for an inexpensive tool. It easily cuts wire and thin material and holds its edge. I do believe it would take the grip of a gorilla to cut off a framing nail, but, I believe it could be done. I would not want it to cut through a nail too easily. That would make it very difficult to use as a puller. At this price point it is a good value. Is it a precision tool valued at $50+? No. But, at the current price of $10.85, it is a versatile tool well worth a place in my toolbox.

THESE WORK GREAT! mainly because they are not high quality. I’m a knipex guy and have many many pairs of high quality cutters. including the knipex nailer pullers which don’t work because any amount of pressure cuts the nail off!! so i looked for a pair that wasn’t so great and found these with great reviews! I’m pleased to say the reason there they work great because they DONT cut well! which allows to to pull nails.highly recommend them for nail pulling!

They absolutely work..i used these on a project of installing bullnose trim’ on a hardwood flooring hooka bar lounge seating area ‘to pull finishing nails ‘being applied to the trim…they worked tremendously without causing any damage to the surrounding surface area…just avoid the amount of full pressure when removing the nail’or any item ‘as to avoid cutting the item…they are sturdy ‘well made of good steel..for the price$$’you can’t go wrong…also the perfect device to use to cut bass guitar strings for new replacement strings

seller has asked for a review…bought for a siding project on old garage where i will have to pull part of old wood plank siding. these appear to be well made, comfortable, and similar to my old crescent nippers for about half the price. as a tool collector for over thirty years, these are ergonomically perfect but can’t speak to durability..

These work great for pulling out nails and staples as long as a little bit is sticking out of surface. Tight pliers not wobbling open or loose after lots of use. The width helps sneaking them in to use the corner of pliers. Used these to remove staple and only accidentally cut 2 or 3 out of thousand. Sharp enough to cut when enough pressure. Just wish that the cutting edge was on the edge instead of the middle where the jaws join, this leave a little bit sticking out when cutting that can’t be pulled out and has to be hammered in. Wish it was spring load to open up for faster one handed operation

I was stuck for 2 months with some great looking peel and stick backsplash. Did not realize they were more like stone and needed a wet saw to cut and trim. I looked on Amazon and saw this little tool and gave it a try. Was perfect! It was as easy as using nail clippers honestly. I’m not handy in ANY way, but aced through my project!

I bought it initially as a nail puller but haven’t used it much for that purpose. Now I need to do a refret on a guitar. In looking at the cheaper import fret pullers ($10) and many negative reviews I realized that these were essentially small nail pullers that, like this tool, have 45 degree inward angle cut on the blade that prohibits the blade from gripping completely flush with the surface as is needed to grip the underside of the fret against the guitar neck surface. So, using a bench grinder, files and sandpaper I managed to remove the beveled edge, shape and polish into a fret puller. Tested it on an old guitar neck (pics) and it worked flawlessly.

These pillars are well worth the money in my opinion. They are made of chrome vanadium steel so this is not a skimpy weak tool! it has tight but smooth construction, easy to open and close in your hand. That impressed me as soon as I picked it up to try it. If I needed another one, I would order another one of these in a heart beat! It also makes me interested in looking at other Bates tools . Especially if the they are made of this quality. The price is also very reasonable in my opinion!
