Ralph L. Wahlstrom –
When a tree fell in our back yard I was going to borrow or rent a chainsaw to clean it up, as I’ve done many times in my life. My grandfather owned a logging company/camp, and my dad was a logger in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. I am well experienced with chainsaw use and safety precautions. My wife is not a fan, so she asked me if I could find a safer way to clear the tree, so I looked around and found this saw. At $34 it was cheaper than renting a chainsaw, so I figured I’d give it a try. Now I’m 67 and, despite my upbringing, I’ve spent the last 40 years working as a professor, so I don’t do a lot of physical work. I’m 160 pounds and just shy of 5 feet 9 inches tall, and although I’m fit, I had my misgivings. The trunk of the dead tree is around 10 inches and the wood is incredibly dense, and it’s great. One reviewer said it cuts like butter. I wouldn’t say that; however, it cuts fast and clean. I’ve been cutting it in sections over the last couple of days. My wife is happy, and I’m happy.

I needed a “timber” saw and this fits the bill perfectly. It splices thru 6X6 beams like butter.

the blade likes to flex if it gets bound up, but it glides through trees with relative ease. I sectioned an entire 10ft tree that was already on the ground in 10 minutes for my first time using it. I have quite a few downed trees after a recent snow storm & this will help me get through the clean up without having to mess with my finnicky chainsaw.

I gave up trying to get my chainsaw started and bought this saw. I was able to clear the trail the fallen branch was blocking. The saw is sturdy, sharp, impressive. Cut straight and clean. It was still a bit of exercise for 70 year old guy, but so is yanking the cord on the chainsaw. The difference being, this saw produced results. It’s a keeper.

I have several Bahco Swedish saws and they are far superior in cutting prowess than any other hand saws I have owned or used. The blade is so sharp, it’s easy to cut yourself by touching it. It slices through 3” branches with ease. The only weak link in this saw is the plastic handle which can split and break if used too strongly. I tried to buy a replacement handle but was told it couldn’t be done.

Very aggressive and FAST teeth yet very effortless to use in action. Only slight down pressure required (let the blade do the work). Well made and A no brainer at this price.

I wasn’t sure what I was going to get with this Bahco, and after using it a while, it is one of the best wood saws I have used in many years. I could definitely recommend this saw for cutting firewood, cutting down small trees on a farm in which bringing a chain saw all the way down to the lower 40 acres is not worth the effort. An added advantage is that this can be resharpened many times, rather than the current crop of Impulse heat treated saws in which that cannot be done. All in all, and excellent investment and Amazon did an amazing job of getting it to me quickly and without hassle.

It’s a pain to get the chainsaw started so I bought this for any small quick jobs where I needed to saw a few logs. Cuts 6 inch diameter logs quick with min effort, but for anything larger you need a chainsaw or longer saw.

Forget the old saws that look great but wobble and snag when cutting a board. This saw rips through wood like a shark through a tuna. I bought another for backup and got rid of the rest.

I’m a 5’8″ 140 pound woman. Wanted a saw that was manageable for cutting up small trees at our cabin. This saw is a great size for me, super sharp and cuts like a hot knife through firm butter.
