Arrived quickly, is 100% what I expected in new condition, very sturdy. Can’t wait to give this a try under heavy load. Tried it out with 10.5mm rope in the living room and is working great. I believe this will be a great rappel system.

Pro’s:• I like that you can use this with one or two ropes as needed/desired based on what rope work you might be doing• Anodized aircraft grade aluminum• Includes rope divider to help keep dual ropes from getting twisted upCon’s:• None at this timeFinal thoughts: Having used ropes and descenders in the past for climbing and rappelling, I can say that this descender is of good quality and will work for what I need it for. I’m not rappelling or putting this descender under extreme duress. I plan to use this with a safety rope for a chimney repair at home this spring. My roof pitch is too steep to safely climb on to and off of safely so I plan to use this to control the rope while working up there. I received this AOKWIT Rappel descender for free as part of the Vine program but feel I’ve given a fair unbiased review. If anything changes my mind on this unit after use this spring, I’ll come back to update my review.

I got this ATC belay device to use at the climbing gym to replace the one I’ve been using. After using it several times at the gym, it’s exactly what I’d hoped for. I like the “teeth” for belaying. They make it easy to hold the rope while the climber is climbing. One of my climbing partners takes lots of rests so the teeth really help hold the rope in place while climber is resting. The belay device is lightweight and sturdy. For climbing gear, durability is most important as durable gear means safe gear. I get that with this device and that’s all I need.
